Chapter Thirty-Six

Liana's POV

Noah's strong arms wrapped around my waist in a hug from behind. I was really starting to like his hugs. I smiled as he nibbled on my ear.

    "Hi." His breath was hot against my neck.

    "Hi."

    "Did you sleep well?" I cringed.

    "After last night, I couldn't really get back to sleep. So I watched the sunrise instead." I bit my lip as I felt him frown against my neck. He stepped back giving me room to turn around. I set my mug with tea on the glass table that matched the set of chairs on my porch.

    "I'm sorry." He shook his head and kissed mine.

    "No, i'm sorry. I should've made sure you fell asleep." Now I was shaking my head.

    "No, Noah neither of us could have made sure I fell asleep, I just had a lot on my mind and I couldn't fall back asleep. But it's okay it's just one night. Please let's just forget about it okay? I want to have a great day." I smiled. He still had a frown on his face but he nodded.

    "Great." I kissed him. We then spent the day doing our normal routine of Alpha business. Jason was my Beta with Remi as my Beta female. After Remi had told me about Jason we ended up running into him. He was a werewolf too and was part of my pack and Remi was his mate. I had chosen another girl from my pack as my Gamma. She had been the only one to not judge me about the whole Andrew and Noah situation. Everyone in the pack had found out about Andrew when Noah came along and they all have been very cautious around the Noah topic. Except for Remi of course. She and I talked and she was the only one who knew about Noah being my mate until last night.

    Noah had been my top warrior since he came here and so he was also part of most of the plan we made. If he wasn't there for business he was there for support and ideas. We had decided not to announce our relationship until we dealt with Andrew. He had been locked up again and we had to go through another trial with him. His trial wasn't until later this year so we had time to work on other things. After we had the hospital built we started to make plans for the Beta and Gamma families. Our pack was small and weak since my grandpa's sickness. Our main focus was expanding from a Pack house and Alpha house to a much more well organized pack. We had gotten really far. We now had an orphanage, elderly care house, Beta house, and Gamma house. My grandpa's old house was now the orphanage. I didn't have the need for a big house and felt it should be used instead of just an abandoned old house.

    "Marianne, how are the kids at the orphanage doing, you had a check in with them last week right?" Marianne was my Gamma, she was about my age and we were good friends.

    "It is going great Alp...I mean Liana. They had a few couples come in looking to adopt and some meetings were in order. Which is always a good thing. And the other kids are doing great. They are getting healthier and stronger each day." I smiled. The orphaned kids were my favorite place to visit. They were struggling in a few rooms as a daycare when they lived in the pack house and they weren't getting the attention they needed. Now we had more caretakers, more rooms, and more supplies.

    "Good." We continued on working until it was way past midnight.

"Okay, good. Now all of you guys can head to be, i'm just gonna stay up a little while longer to finish a few things." I yawned as Noah's hands rested on my shoulders. He massaged my shoulders while speaking.

"Nope, you barely got any sleep last night so I am making sure you get it tonight. I'll help you with it in the morning. Now let's go." I groaned as people gave us a few questioning stares. I stood up and turned towards the door.

"Fine, but first food. I'm starving." My stomach grumbled as Noah and I headed downstairs. When we got to the kitchen I opened up the fridge to see leftovers from today's meal. Leftovers were rare in my pack so I smiled when I saw them. I pulled out some chicken and some chocolate strawberries for dessert. Noah I sat eating our chicken in silence. Once we finished I opened up the container that held the strawberries and took a bite of one. I moaned as the chocolate melted in my mouth mixing in with the fruity taste. Noah laughed and I blushed in embarrassment.
