Liana's POV
I'm not an ordinary teenager my mom and I have a secret. It's just me and my mom so we keep to ourselves, which also means our secret. In my school there's multiple different people and they're literally different people: My school has normal people, supernatural people, and supernatural hunters. Everyone keeps to themselves, though no one tells anyone who they truly are. If you tell someone, you could hurt yourself or others.
The only people that know your secret is staff, and family if their like you. Now I know what your thinking, you trust the school with your secret but not your best friends. Well no one really has friends; they might talk to a few people, but like I said they keep to themselves in order to keep everyone safe. The staff also makes sure that you don't encounter anyone that could be any kind of threat to you. We also have police standing around just in case. My secret is...
When I woke up I realized I was going to be late to school so rushed to get ready. Man this is going to be one heck of a day, I thought while grabbing breakfast before heading out the door to head to school. That was true when I got to school I noticed Mason Smith was waiting for me at my locker. I acted like I didn't even notice him but before I even opened my locked he grabbed my hand and made me look him in the eye. Before I knew it, he was talking, talking about how he knew who I was and was going to tell everyone. I panicked what was I supposed to do. He can't tell my secret I'd be in grave danger.
I'm one of the few left of my kind.
"Why are you doing this" I asked him but the principal had interrupted before Mason could speak.
"Mason leave her alone you are coming with me, Liana please get to class, I will talk to you later."
"Ok, thank you" I reply while the principal starts leading him down to the office. Mason does this stuff all the time he tries to figure out who people are to blackmail them to do his dirty work. I started heading down the hall, but I ran into the new kid Noah Clark. He was really hot but I just don't think I can trust him. But who can someone trust anyways.
"Oh my gosh i'm so sorry I didn't see you there" I said apologetically while picking up the books I dropped.
" Oh no it's my fault I wasn't paying attention" he responded while helping me with my books.
We both reached for the last book that I had dropped and our hands touch. I pulled mine back immediately while looking anywhere but at him. He cleared his throat and handed me the last book while standing up offering his hand to help me up.
"Thank you" I said awkwardly while trying to find something else to say.
"No problem, I actually wanted to talk to you If you don't mind?" I was dumbfounded what would he want to talk to me about?
"Sure, what did you want to ask me?"
Noah's POV
I stared at her trying to ponder how I was going to ask her, I had been planning this for weeks but couldn't find words at the moment. I was guessing I wasn't the only nervous one seeing as she was trying to do anything but look at me. I decided I had to say it at some point seeing as she didn't seem like the patient type at the moment
"Do you want to go out sometime?"
Her mouth dropped open and she didn't respond for what felt like forever, then she finally stuttered
"Like a um a date?" I nodded and she looked dumbfounded before she hesitantly said "Sure." I felt like a weight had be lifted from my shoulders, but was quickly dropped back on when the Principal was leading Mason to the office. I felt like I couldn't breathe by the look he was giving me. he wasn't much bigger than me, but if looks could Kill I would have be painfully slaughtered seconds ago.
Once they had passed I look back at Liana to see her gazing at me but quickly looked away when I noticed her. It was an awkward silence before I said "Sooooo about that date..."
"I have to get to class but here's my number I'll text you after school bye." she rushed off before I could even respond. I put her number in my phone before heading to class.
Liana's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes, I had just got asked out by Noah Clark. For the rest of the day all I could think about was him. His beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair, not to mention his sexy muscular body. I just wanted to have his body against mine. But I could never have that sadly. I tried my best to push him out of my mind, so I could focus on school but it was so hard.
I had to stay strong though I can't be weak that would put me and my mom in danger. That day when I got home from school I told my mom all about him he made me so happy and excited. I explained him to her with so much detail it was like I knew his whole body, I wish. When I was finished talking about him, my mom looked at me with a worried look.
"Honey maybe you should stay away from him for a while he might be dangerous" my mom responded with a nervous tone. I couldn't believe my eyes, she didn't trust me or him.
"No he's not dangerous mom I know him, he would never do that to me or us. Please just let me have him over for dinner and you can meet him yourself. I promise nothing will happen and he will never know who I really am." I begged my mom to let me have him over to prove to her that she is wrong.
"Ok fine, invite him to dinner tomorrow ok. You better not make me regret this."
I knew my mom wasn't fully sure about letting me have him over but I also know she trusts me, and I know I won't let her down. That night I fell asleep thinking about him, Noah Clark was my whole world and I've only known him for a day. The next day I drove to school planning on how I was going to ask him, I had it all planned in my head and I was practicing. When I got to school I quickly looked around for him, I needed to talk to him now before I explode with excitement.
I found him quickly talking on the phone. I was gonna sneak up behind him but before I got that far I heard a little bit about what they were talking about. With my super hearing I heard the person on the other line say "you have to make sure she doesn't find out or else our plan is ruined."
