Authors Note: Yes, I know, this is a short chapter but I had to write it and update! But this chapter is important too!

“This dress! You. Have. To. Get. It.” Alyssa said, as she held out another dress. I had now tried on forty seven dresses and counting.
Fourty seven dresses. In one freakin day. Nonstop. Without any food in me.
I needed caffeine.
I didn’t even turn to look at her this time. The past dresses that Lyssi had picked out were either a horrible color, too fancy, too casual, too poofy, or, not poofy enough or looked like something a slut would wear, excuse the language.
“Nah…I don’t like it,” I told my best friend, without as much as taking a glance towards the dress itself.
“You’re trying it on! This is the one.” Alyssa said.
“I'm tired!” I whined.
“Like I care”
“Gee Lyssi, aren’t you the bestest friend in the world?” I said, my voice full of sarcasm.
“Glad you finally noticed.” She said and just to bug me, came over and squeezed me very tightly.
“Let go!” I said.
“Not until you agree to try this dress on!”
“No!”
“Then I’ll keep squeezing you.” That smirk on her face made me mad. She was teasing me.
“Fine! You hear me? Now Let GO!” I yelled.
“Gladly.” Lyssi said,
She handed me a dress and shoved me into the fitting room before I could look at it.
When I got into the change room, I examined the dress. To my surprise, it was actually pretty.
It was dark blue (my favorite color) and had gathers around the skirt. The top was a corset style and even though I wasn’t fond of the whole corset thing, I found that it only looked like a corset and was a zip-up dress. There was silver, swirly beady at the top of the dress and at the bottom where there were gathers.
Perfect for the Masquerade.
It was originally Lizzie’s idea. She had wanted to have a party so that us girls could call everyone we knew around London and get to know more people.
And then Lyssi suggested the masquerade and the plan was set in stone.
The party was in a day and Alyssa freaked out when I mentioned I didn’t have a dress.
She was about to murder me when I told her I could wear any old dress out of my closet.
Finally, she convinced me to go shopping with her.
I put the dress on, being careful not to damage it and came out of the fitting room.
Alyssa was sitting on a chair, looking through a bridal magazine. I studied her facial reactions as she went through the magazine.
If she didn’t like something, she would scrunch up her nose and quickly turn the page.
If she did like something, her eyes would light up and she would put her hand on the page and smile.
“Ahemm…” I said, signaling her attention.
“Hey…..OMG!!” Alyssa said, “LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!”
