Lillian sat waiting for her father to return home. She was worried, "Lady Lillian you must stay clam, your father is just late from work." The footman said as she held herself. "It is almost Daybreak and he is not home... how I am supposed to stay clam?" Lillian said snapping at the footman, who didn't seem to care.

The Boston massacre had happened a weak earlier and tension was about to boil over. She heard a knock at the door. The footman and Lillian rushed down stairs. A man with a powder wig stood there holding his had.

"Lillian Anderson, Your father is Ill and is staying at the Hancock's until tomorrow evening. So no need to worry."  The man said, Lillian let out a sigh of relief. She trusted Mister Hancock and his family to take care of him.

Lillian finally got rest. The next morning she noticed a lot more ships. She got dressed and worry still filled her. A heavy knocked came to the door.

"We Are Searching the Home." A man with a strong British Accent yelled. Lillian rushed to the front entrance. "The master of the house is not home, Sir." The footman said as he was pushed out of the way. "I am sorry, Sir I do not give you permission to search this house." Lillian said as she walked towards him. He slapped her and a carriage pulled up and Her father and John Handcock ran out. "Don't speak like that to me women!" The man said kicking her to the ground.

Lillian face stung. "Search the house, If you find anything contented to the Rebel cause arrest the family." The man yelled as a young solider came into the house with a few others came in. The young Solider helped Lillian up. " William! What are you Doing? search this bloodily place!" The man yelled at the young man. "Father." Lillian said as he walked to her. "We found nothing sir!" The oldest of them said after about 15 minutes. "Lets go onto the next house." The man yelled as they filed out. The young man named William looked at Lillian as he walked out, he mouthed something at her.

"My sweet Lillian you must have been so scared." Her father said as she looked concerned. "It is okay, but Nathaniel are you okay?" Lillian said as the Footman walked to them. "I am fine, just a bruise nothing more." Nathaniel said. John and her father walked up the stairs. "I will be going out Nathaniel with Kassandra." Lillian said as she ran out to a carriage.

Lillian walked with Kassandra in the square. "Did the redcoats come into your house? It was the most terrifying thing, they try to steal my mother's silk dress." Kassandra said as they past a stall selling wine. A young redcoat stop them. "Are one of you Miss Anderson?" The young man asked, his hat covering his face a bit. "I am is there something wrong?" Lillian said calmly. The man took off his hat, it was the kind solider from before. "I am here to apologized, for my commander's actions towards you." The man said bowing a bit. "You shouldn't be the one Apologizing, it should be your commander. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Lillian said strongly, "Um... yes... your full name..." The young solider said blushing a bit. "Lillian Jessica Anderson and you Sir?" Lillian said politely. "William Everheart it is a pleasure to meet you, I hope to see you again Miss Anderson." William said walking away.

Lillian stood in shock. "What just happened?" Kassandra said confused. "I do not know lets go back... don't tell my father about this." Lillian said as they turned around. This William why was he so kind to her? Did he want something from her? Money for her to be a Spy for the British? This made her wonder as she sat in the sitting room sowing a jacket together again for her father. A few of her fathers friends came over and she went to go get them something to drink. The young cook looked at her. "I heard what happened Lillian... are you okay?" The cook said with a small smile. "I am fine I will take the tray, thank you." Lillian said as she grabbed the handles.

Lillian knocked on her father's study. "Your Daughter was see talking to a red coat today... it seem the man was trying to get information from her. It was said that she refused him, what a strong young women she has become." One of her fathers friends said. "Come in." Her father said threw the door. Lillian came in quietly, none of them spoke as she gently placed the tray and turn the leave. "Lillian did a redcoat approach you today?" Her father said, Lillian turned to face the men. "Yes one Did, he simply asked for my name, and he try to apologize for his commanders actions today... it was strange. William Everheart I believe it was." Lillian said as they all looked baffled. "Did he try to get information from you?" John Handcock said staring at her. "No... At first he was trying to get information but he didn't press me to tell anything." Lillian said as she held her hands tighter.

"John don't press Miss Anderson." Mister Adams said as he looked at Lillian. "I must excuse myself, if you need anything just call for me." Lillian said exiting the room. Lillian walked outside for a seconded she had never been so nervous around her father friends. "Hello, Miss Anderson." A man said. Lillian jumped and turned around. "Mister Everheart! You frightened me, what do you want?" Lillian said as she heard her fathers laughter. "I just was checking your address just in case if I wanted to see you again and Miss Anderson please call me William." he said with a smile. "I am sorry but if you where to send letter, don't. My father has no interest of me being courted at this moment." Lillian said turning around. "Miss Anderson, that is not my intentions."  William said as he caught her wrist. "Then what is it? information, lay of the land?" Lillian said as she looked at him. "I just want to know you better... You are very interesting... lets say that." William said, Lillian blushed. "I must go inside... please leave." Lillian said walking inside.

Mister Handcock looked out the window to see a redcoat, blushing. "Look at this." They all rushed over. Mister Adams opened the window. "Lillian Anderson... your smitten with her aren't you." A young loyalist said to the solider. "What! No I am not... She is just a very interesting young women... I just want to see her again..." The soldier said still blushing. "Well Miss Anderson is a beautiful women I do have to say, but she thinks to much. Good luck thought trying to court her, it is imposable. No one will have her heart." The loyalist said walking away. "I am not trying to court her! God why dose everyone think I try to do that to every women I talk to." The man mumbled. "Everheart! Get back to your Post." A man yelled at the solider.

They all looked at each other. "Well that answers one question." Adams said looking at Mister Anderson. "At least Lillian is not interested in him as a suitor.... we know where her loyalty lies."
