Lillian walked holding her expensive jewelry. She set it on the shelf of the little shop. William and her owned. She was happy like William had said. They lived in Yorktown, William wrote in the financing books.. Lillian walked to him she wrapped her arms around him and rest her head on his shoulder. "What is the matter, my love?" William said as he savored her warmth. "The troops in the south are moving closers... I heard when I went to the sewing circle that their husbands, wanted to go north to Albany." Lillian said her voice shaking. "Don't worry... the troops will protect the city," William said as they heard a bell ringing. Lillian went out to the front. She gasped seeing the man before her. Cornwallis stood shocked, "You..." Lillian said stepping back.
He said nothing. "My troops need any food that you could spare... Mis. Anderson." Cornwallis said his devilish smile sending shivers down her spine. "I am sorry sir, we don't have food to spare. Also, my name has changed... I am Ms. Everheart sir." Lillian said as she gave him a smile. He looked shocked then gave her a kind smile. "You ran from your father...I am glad you have helped this city as well. I am happy for you Ms. Everheart." Cornwallis said as he left.
Lillian let out a sigh and she walked to William's who face was shocked. Lillian heard gunshots and cannons going off. William ran to her and pushed her into the cellar. "We need to wait it out," William said his smile turning to worry. Lillian pushed past him and ran upstairs. She ran out into the streets. She gathered all the orphans from the streets as fast as she could. William helped her hold the smaller children. She felt something whizz by her. She saw a redcoat being stabbed by a patriot. She covered the children's eyes. She placed them in the cellar. "My god! Lillian you could have died," William said grabbing her hands. "I wanted to help save the future of this young nation," Lillian said with a smile.
Lillian and William stayed quite for two days. Lillian went up, she felt something was off. She held the pistol behind her back. She walked to the front, she saw two men. "Is anyone hurt!" A familiar voice yelled. William ran to her and he stopped in the door way. Alexzander and Lafayette stood in there little shop. "Marquis?" Lillian said as she looked at him. He turned pale and looked at William. "Is the war over?" William said looking at Alexzander. They just stared at each other. Lillian was happy to see them but the man standing outside made her fell scared. Mr. Anderson walked threw the door. "My child!" He yelled running to her and hugging her. He felt a little bump under her dress and stood confused. Then he saw the small golden ban on her finger. "Father... I can explain." Diana said as he just sat down in the Salon. "I can guess... you married William and now you and him are having a child I get it. When I was your age your mother gave birth to Henry." Mr. Anderson said Marquis's mouth fell open. "Mon Dieu you must have not let her sleep for a good amount-" Alexzander put his hand over Lafayette's mouth. When everyone was dancing and drinking in the streets Lillian helped the children out of the cellar. Her father saw her face winch a little. A boy looked at her conserved. She told the boy she was fine and soon they where just left with friends and family. "James was killed in Charlotte." Mr. Anderson said with a frown. "I do not care... that boy never became a man in my eyes." Lillian said angrily. "I am sorry for trying to push that on you... but I was so worried." Mr. Anderson said touching her cheek. "I know... Father I would hope that you would worry." Lillian said with a smile.
-a few months later-
Eliza and Alexzander laughed with William and Lillian. Lillian's hand flew to her stomach and her grabbed William's arm. Eliza quickly ran to Lillian. "Come with me." Eliza said as she helped Lillian. William and Alexzander stood awkwardly outside the room as Lillian screamed. They heard crying coming from the other side of the door. The nurse maid came out smiling. They both walked in. A baby boy laid in Lillian's arms. "I think you need to prolong your stay." Eliza said laughing a bit. "I agree." Lillian said with a smile. "You did a good job." William said as he looked lovely at the baby. "Henry... we should name him Henry." William said with a smile.
-years later-
"I chose your father over this young nation. That is the story I wrote with my pen." Lillian said as Henry and Philp looked at Lillian. "Did you really ran away with Papa?" Henry said as Eliza smiled at them. "She sure did." William said walking into the room. "I would chose your father every single time if I had to go back." Lillian said with a smile. "Then I will chose my Wife with love too!" Philp said with a big grin. "I will to!" Henry said as Lillian smiled at both of them. "I hope you will too."
