I finally reach land after about swimming for 5 minutes or more. I lay there thanking god that I am still alive. Then I feel somebody touch me screaming. I open my eyes to see an officer closing me up with a blanket. "It's ok Jessica you are okay now". He picks me up and carries me to the ambulance.
"Where is Amanda"?
"Uhm we still looking for her but don't worry we will find her and lock her away".
I nod my head and slowly fall asleep.
Waking up I am in hospital on a drip I look across the room at my family members. Seeing them all scattered around Jenny in her pram, Mom next to her in the chair, Jamie-Lynn and Jake on one couch, Josh and Gabby on one chair and Mitch right next to me holding my hand. They all asleep and I am assuming its night time. My dad walks in and with my free hand I put my finger in front of my lips and he nods. He walks around to me and kisses me on my forehead. I mouth the words I'm sorry he shakes his head and kisses me on my forehead again and says no princess "I am sorry".
Mitch moves and my body freezes I close my eyes and peek out of it I guess my dad saw and couldn't help but burst out laughing and waking up everybody in the room. "Thanks dad" I say giggling. I let go of Mitch hand and give him the What the fuck are you doing look. He moves away and walks out. "Can I be alone with just mom and dad." Everybody nods and walk out.
"I am sorry for everything I put you through I shouldn't have been a rebel and act the way I did maybe none of this would have happened".
"Oh, baby we should ask you forgiveness for not running after you and allowing you to make your own decisions. We should have believed you from the start".
"Why is Mitch here"?
"He helped us out in finding you Jess if it wasn't for him I don't think you would have been here right now and still stuck in that horrible room".
"Can I speak to him alone please"?
My parents walk out and Mitch walks in eyes bloodshot red.
"Hey sit down".
"Why did you try and save me? why are you here? Your friggin girlfriend almost got me killed and tried to kill me by jumping off a bridge. So instead of being here by me get the fuck out and go look for her and sign her into a mental hospital".
Tears fall down his face and I instantly feel bad. I turn away from him. He grabs my hand.
"Jessica, I didn't mean for any of this to happen I swear. I realized you mean more to me than anything in this world and even though it took something so awful to make me realize this I just, fuck Jessica I LOVE YOU".
My heart drops and I feel like a kid in a candy store. Mitch loves me but can I trust him. I look at him.
"Just give me time". He turns and walks away.
"MITCH"? He turns around "I LOVE YOU TOO". He smiles and walks out.
1 week later.
I am back living with my parents, tomorrow I have school everybody is begging me not to go but I need to catch up on my work. Gabby is a month preggers. So, excited can't wait to spoil the baby. Jenny learned a new word crawling around saying Fuck. Mitch and I have rekindled our love but taking things slow. Jamie-Lynn jetted off to Miami for a photoshoot and Amanda well nobody knows her whereabouts and I damn well know she survived that jump cos she use to be on the swim team.
But it doesn't bother me this just made me tough and stronger and I learnt you need to stand up for yourself in any situation.
Waking up today I feel recharged I feel fresh and I ready to take on today. I do my lady business and walk downstairs. My dad sits ready the newspaper while my mom is preparing breakfast. I play with Jenny who is in her High chair watching Barney.
"Hey dad is Josh up yet"?
"Yes, he left early this morning with Mitch and Jake. I think they have football practise".
*PING*
Mitch: Good morning baby. Sorry I won't be able to pick you up I have to be at practise.
I grab an apple and seeing that both my rides is gone I need to get going to catch the bus.
And then I missed the bus. For heaven sakes. I run back home dad can you give me ride please.
I arrive at school and spot Gabby at the front doors and I walk over to her and great she smiles at me.
"TELL ME"?
"What Jess are you crazy"?
"I know when you keeping something away from me especially if it's something about me".
"I promised I can't tell Josh made me swear to secrecy this morning".
"Fine then". Walking to my locker I am suddenly slammed against it. "You bitch where the fuck is my friend how can you lie and say she is involved in your kidnapping, did you want to get rid of her so badly just to get closer to Mitch".
By now the whole school is circling us.
I take one step forward and grab Bella by her shirt.
"You don't want to fuck with me Bella I will no longer take shit from you or anybody. So, touch me again and I will redo your face with my fist". Pushing her away from me. She stands there speechless and flips her hair and walks away the whole school is cheering and I feel arms wrap around me. Mitch shouts "Yip this is my baby mess with her and you'll get a makeover" he laughs. I punch him on his arms.
"Ouch".
"Now walk me to my class or i'll rearrange your face".
I have class with Bella and her minions, this should be great.
Walking to my seat she lets out her foot and I almost trip.
I continue walking cos they certainly not worth it.
My phone buzz and it's a text from Mitch
BAE: miss you.
"You just saw me"
BAE: but your pretty face is hunting me.
"Do your work"
BAE: *crying*
A paper falls on my desk
I open it
"YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A WHORE WHO DESERVED TO BE TORTURED TO DEATH BITCH"
Feeling a slight pain of sadness, I crumble up the paper.
The rest of the classes was pure hell. It's lunch time now and I head over to the cafeteria I grab a burger, fries and a soda and head over to my usual table.
I see Bella making her way over to me. Oh, my gosh not again.
She sits down with her minions.
"What do you want Isabella"?
"For you to disappear Jessica".
Rolling my eyes.
She hands me a letter ("read this when you alone and don't even think about telling anybody")
I finish my lunch and head to the girl's restroom. I find an empty stall and read the letter.
MY DEAREST JESSICA.
YOU THINK IT WAS GOING TO BE EASY GETTING RID OF ME. THINK AGAIN BABY GIRL I AM WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE AND I WILL GET MY REVENGE ON YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL. YOU WON'T SEE IT COMING. OH, AND DON'T THINK MITCH IS ALL YOURS COS HE BELONGS TO ME.
