"Okay, so if you want to live here... And keep my stuff... you're gonna have to pay me back." I told her, flipping the check she had for all her savings. I didn't question anything much, but I just wanted to walk away from this. I got to keep all of the other stuff from our ex, and plsn on selling it soon. I think with walking away from this I'll have 8k because of all the new stuff he bought so I'll return and figure out the rest of the money; in the bank.
Kevin already started to sell it in the sidewalk and he was gonna pocket 10% since he was mostly wanting to just to help. I tried to raise it to 50% but he denied, saying the pleasure was all his.
"I'll pay back the two thousand in time, obviously no interest." She mentioned.
"Great, so I have all my money back soon." I nodded, thanking her. "I'll take my name off once you do." I shook her hand, grabbing all of my tampons and a bonus luggage with my clothes and makeup. She didn't have my size or my skin color so I didn't have to leave it behind. "Just be sure to know I won't be paying the next one and I've already asked the landlord to add your name as second in command." I waved her goodbye and started to leave the place for the last time.
It was good to gain back some of the things back into my life but now I needed a place to live. Maybe I could ask Kevin to stay with him just for a few more days. I know I have enough to buy an apartment but it was just... the moment he made my heart stop for a beat. It reminded me of back then, the drunken blurs hit my head as I thought of when he grabbed my waist to pull me into his body.
My body heated up as I knew that I want to ask him about staying over. It was not the time, exiting the stairwell I managed to see Kevin already up front selling some of my ex's stuff. More than half remains but Kevin held a pretty fixed stack of cash compared to what I was thinking. He turned to me, showing me his smile and making my heart stopped again. I held my hand over it, hoping it'll go away but when I approached him I did see him handing me all the money he had.
"Did you take your cut?" I asked.
"No, you need more than I do. Plus it's a lot more fun just to sell these off for 50% of what it's worth really." He nodded.
"Well, how much you think is left?" I asked.
"Since its more than half... Probably like 500 more."
I decide to pull out my phone, already typing up a message to send to my ex. I just messaged him about where the remaining stuff he had and how it was on the sidewalk.
Funny enough I got it to sell it to about 600 instead because he really wanted his stuff back and. The best thing is already transferred it through PayPal, so all else that's on the pavement is anybody to grab before he comes.
Kevin started to push the lighter side of my stuff into the back of his car, as I restd by his side. He closed the trunk, doing nothing but looking ahead. Looking to him, he was chilled out and calm. I felt his hand brushing against mine. I pulled away as I did that on accident.
"Sorry," we both said.
