My dann boyfriend broke up with me! I've been with him for so long, and my life just had a shuddering moment of facing reality that we were done. He didn't want me, and I was left in the dust because of it. We just got the apartment and I had to leave because I didn't want to see him at all!

My first intent was to go to my best friend's home, and that's what I just did.

Already calling in, I let Kevin know that I was there with him. So when I knocked on the door, it only took about two seconds for him to open up and then open his arms as I rushed into them. Tears going down my eyes, as Kevin wiped my tears for me on his sweater.

"I-I'm so sorry, Kevin..." I cried softly, as I felt like a total nuisance just being all sorts of annoying. "Thank you for letting me come over..." My whined made him pull me in closer and closed the door behind me. "Its been so weird, losing him when I made sure I was everything to him..." Feeling his hand on the back of my head as he slowly dragged his hand down like he was petting me. Enjoying it, the room got quiet or as he slowly guided me into the living room.

"He was a jerk, knowing him, we could barely spend time together." He tried to cheer me up, only making me feel worse than before. "We could stay here, and I'll go get you your favorite ice cream from the last time you were here." He offered, already trying to get up to get it for me; instead I pulled him closer to me and is burrowed my head into his neck to get him to stay with me.

"Please don't leave me..." Mumbling into his bare skin, I wanted his jacket because I got really cold on the way over. "I just... need you with me." Tugging onto his sleeves so he couldn't have a chance to leave. "You're the only person I need right now." I whimpered.

Kevin took a huge sigh, hugging me into him and pulled me closer to him. "Alright," he out his chin on top of my head. "You're practically on me." He took a hot breath into my hair, kissing my hair as well. "I don't know why he would break up with you."

"Probably cause I'm so stupid." I pulled away to look him in the eyes. "Am I really just a terrible person?"

Kevin's eyes widen, as he started to shake his head. "No-no, you're a great person!" He started to explained. "You're kind enough to be my friend, to be charming, and you look beautiful when you don't even try..." He grabbed onto my hand, and he set it on my lap. He smiled looked deeper into my eyes. "Its honestly his loss if he can't see how great you are."

My frown disappear but I didn't have a smile on my lips either, just a normal look as Kevin wiped my tears with his thumb. "Are you being truthful?" My question struck him.

"Yeah, you're so... amazing." He smiled even softer than before, tilting his head and observing me more. For some reason we stayed like that for a solid ten seconds, before he started shaking his head and releasing my hand. He pushed me off of them as he started to get up, but my arched eyebrow with narrowed eyes made him look like he regretted it when he did. "Sorry, we just should... get a little to drink. I think it'll help, being the way of the Irish and all." He chuckled with a worried time, only ending up to walk away from me and into his kitchen. "I'm gonna grab something strong, so I'm going to force it on you so we can both get drunk!" Kevin joked as I only agreed.

This night was just something I want to forget, and alcohol was a great answer. So, taking off my jacket with my scarf I started to relax into it. They were super wet anyways, and I just wanted to be drying off but my plans of drying off on Kevin was ruined because he got away. Leaving only on a thin shirt, I stripped to normal clothing. Kevin entered, looking to me with beer in his hands but he covered his face and turned around.
