"Don't you want to want to relax?" Kevin, walking beside me with a worried tone in his voice questioned me sheepishly.
"Uh, no." I said, clutching onto my bank statements and holding it with such a rage. I made my account have a connection on that apartment and since my keys were taken from my ex, I decided revenge was the best thing to do here. Replacing me and treating me like I urged to go back to Kevin even when I didn't connect to him for all that time at all. "I at least deserve my belongings! Our joint account is closing because he thinks he deserves all the money that I put into it! It was our savings that he dipped into when that slob didn't want to work! It's only my life savings!" I approached the counter to my landlord, ringing the doorbell as fast as I can.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" His scratched voice was apparent, slowly peeking into my view. "Hey, you're missing your payment."
"I'm missing my keys." I announced, crossing my arms.
"I can get you another if you like." He offered, moving to the back and going into his backroom. "Your fiancee hasn't made a payment yet, so I'm gonna have to ask you to pay for these keys." He said, as I smiled with evil written all across my face.
"Yes, here." I chaotically smiled, setting my bank documents and ownership of the place on the counter. "It's all I have left in the account right now, and it should be just enough." I was hopeful because the last bit of my savings was kept to me, with this last payment I should have full ownership over the place. "Can you adjust my name to be the only one on the apartment? He plans on leaving for just a bit so I have to pay for it."
The landlord's head peeked to me, confused but took the request anyways. "Right..." He said, slowly going back in and then showing up after a few seconds. Handing me keys, and grabbing everything I had given. "It'll take a while, but with your money in the system, you own it now. Just don't force him out just yet, he can still file for you treating him poorly."
The landlord's way of thought wasn't as dumb as I hoped, but he certainly helped me. "Thank you, but he still has my belonging and I plan on kicking him out today." I craved the taste of the wrong thing to do, but it was an eye for an eye.
As I turned around, I held the keys with a clutch fist. Making sure I didn't give them up this time! I was dazed and confused last time and didn't fight because of it. Kevin walked up to me as I took heavy steps up the stairwell we entered.
"Don't you want to calm down? He's gonna see you looking..." Kevin stopped shortly, collecting his thoughts. "Crazy."
"No, I want him to know what happens when he back stabs me."
