Disconnected

I watch Ashton smirking when he notices me walking behind him till the outside of the club. There's no more crowd on the street and a deep silence fills the air. I'm still a little farther trying to keep up with him when he turns around, walking backwards.

"I still don't know your name"

I give him a smile "Well, you didn't ask for it"

He narrow his eyes "So? You didn't ask mine, I told you either way"

"Who said I wanted to know your name?"

"Ouch, that one hurt. Alright then, don't tell me your name" He shrugs and I let out a low laugh "So, why did you come to Seattle?"

He starts walking beside me and I lower my head, for some reason my heart is beating faster than it should "I just wanted to get out of where I lived. It was too boring there, no intersting poeple"

"What makes you think you'll find interesting people here?"

I look up at him, eyebrows raised "Well, I found you"

I can see a small smile in the corner of his lips and he narrows his eyes again "What makes you think I'm interesting?"

"The fact that you could be with one or even more of those hot girls back at the club but you're here with me, that's pretty intersting"

He laughs lowly, shrugging "Well, I guess I just found you interesting first"

I bite my bottom lip, trying to avoid a smile but it doesn't really work and I feel myself blushing "Alright interesting boy, where are you taking me?" I ask as he stops in front of a black car and takes a key out of his pocket.

"Anywhere you want" He says, opening the passenger's door for me.

A few nervous but excited butterflies give me an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach "Wow, I'm about to get in a car with a total stranger that will take me wherever I want..." I pull a face mixed to a smile "I feel so outgoing"

Ashton smirks at me "You don't use to be outgoing?"

"I don't know, I'm not very used to be... me, I guess" I shake my head and let out a low laugh, taking a deep breath before getting in the car. I look up at Ashton "Maybe you'll help me find myself, huh?"

I can see a wide smile painting his lips before he closed the door and came around the car, oppening his own door and sitting next to me.

"Do you have a phone?" I frown at his question and he rolls his eyes at me with a laugh "You wanna find yourself, girl?" I still don't know what's his point, but I nod slowly, rising an eyebrow at him "Then you can't take a risk of having a ringing tone bothering you while you do it"

I observe as he shrugs slightly, a small smirk on his lips. I narrow my eyes at him "Where do you you wanna take me to?"

He groans, laughing "I thought you were gonna be outgoing! Trust me in this, okay?"

"I don't even know you" I say, my voice raising a little involuntarily.

He turns the key in the ignition and I can hear the soft breathing of the car's engine. My heart is beating excitingly fast in my chest when he gets his eyes back at me.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to" He stares at me for a moment, making sure I understand what he says "How about that: you got yourself a challenge to convince me to take you to my apartment, right? My challenge will be to make sure that yo won't regret if you come with me now"

I open my mouth, already feeling my cheeks burning. That's not my challenge, I don't have a challenge, he wasn't supposed to take that little joke back at the club seriously. But Ashton doesnt let me say anything when he bends towards me, his face just inches away from mine as he whispers next to my ear.
