Red Dresses, Cany Jars, and That

It was my favorite day, Saturday. The one day where you can procrastinate without having any consequences. It also means that I get to have a lazy day, which I don't have a lot of recently now that winter break is starting to come soon. I was looking through my phone on the couch as the door opened.

"Heyy" I call out.

"Hiii" Called back Biana.

She came to sit with me on the couch, at least two shopping bags in each hand. "What did you get this time?" I asked with a sigh.

"Aw. Don't look so bored. I know that you're curious."

Actually, I kind of was. Bianas favorite past time is to go shopping. She will come back, multiple bags in each hand. I always tease her about it, mainly because I don't like to go shopping that much myself, but its fun to see what she gets. She passes me the bags.

"Um... What is this?" I hold up a red dress that looks surprisingly like my size. And I know that Biana doesn't like to buy red for herself because it was 'my' color.

"Oh don't worry silly. I got one for Lihn as well."

"That makes it sooo much better," I say sarcastically. I'm not a girly type of person. I prefer jeans and a sweatshirt or t-shirt on any day. But still. It was a nice thought.

"I thought that you might need it tonight?"

"What will I need it for?" I ask warily, not liking where this is going. She only gives me last minute information if she thinks I'll try to get myself out of it. Which I usually try to do, so I guess that there is a method to her madness.

"well, we are going to dinner tonight at the new restaurant at the plaza with tam and Lihn. Oh, and Keefe is going to be there as well."

"I finally get to meet this mystery best friend that I've heard so little about."

I give her a pointed look. She just shrugs as she holds up her dress to her body. "What'd ya think?"

"Love it. So tell me more about Keefe."

" Well, he and Fitz became friends when they were in elementary school, and then they just became inseparable. He used to sleep over at our house most of the time. I think at home was pretty tough, but he never really talked about it. He loves to joke and fool around, and don't be surprised if he flirts with you. He literally flirts with any living, breathing woman."

"Well. That sounds wonderful."

"Don't worry he is actually a pretty cool guy. You just have to look past that he is a jack ass half of the time."

"Got it. Anyway, you got me thinking about our next movie night. Do you think that we would be able to convince the boys to watch Candy Jar"

"Oh! I love what movie! I have officially integrated you into the Rom-Com lifestyle."

"When you put it like that, I feel like I'm joining a cult."

Later we walk into a semi-formal restaurant to find Dex, Tam, Lihn, Fitz, and the top of someones head talking to each other. Lihn was the first to notice us and drags Tam over to say hi. Dex gives a small wave but Fitz and the other person were in a surprisingly deep conversation. It annoyed me that I still couldn't see what he looked like. But then I was given a bone-crunching hug that brought me out of that thought.

"If you squeeze any harder, I swear that I'm going to have to call Elwin." I wheezed.

"Oops. Sorry. It's just sooo good to see you. We need to see each other more often."Said Lihn.

"definitely" I go to hug Tam, who usually isn't so touchy-feely, but accepts it anyway. "She does realize that we saw each other last weekend right?" He asked.

"Yes. But that still feels like an eternity. Come one I want to introduce you now. Sophie this is Keefe."

I finally get a good look at him. "You're Keefe!"

He looks at me, "Foster!?!"

"I'm guessing you two know each other?" asked Fitz.
