Note: AU where Overwatch never fell, and D.Va is stationed at Swiss Headquarters.

The holidays always seemed to transform Overwatch's Swiss Headquarters into something ethereal: the usual smell of sweaty cadets and brewing coffee was replaced with the smell of hot chocolate and homemade cookies; though the main building was impressive year-round, it became something breathtaking when glittering Christmas lights were strung along its infrastructure; the dull pavement transitioned into a blanket of smooth, white snow. You adored the holiday season and the sense of family it brought to the base.

However, you'd never put much thought into the work people put into prepping the headquarters for the holidays. Not until this year, that is. This year, you were responsible for putting up decorations outside.

"You look a little tied up," Hana laughed, conspicuously snapping a few photos as she approached you. "Need some help?"

You were entangled in strings of colorful Christmas lights and could hardly move any of your limbs. The fluffy jacket you were wearing was barely enough to keep the Swiss cold at bay, with snow beginning to seep through your thick leggings. "Just untangling some old lights I found in storage." You smiled as Hana raised an eyebrow. "But, yeah, I could use a hand."

"It just so happens I have the best fine motor skills on base." She knelt down, tugging at some of the larger bunches in the cords. "This should be a breeze!"

"What makes you think you have the best 'fine motor skills' on base, huh?" you questioned, wrestling your elbow out of the mess you were in and giving her a gentle nudge.

"Um, hello," she sang lightheartedly as she pointed to herself, "pro-gamer here."

You grinned. "Oh, excuse me for underestimating you, then."

"Truly a crime," she hummed. "Just goes to show that gamers are the most oppressed group of them all."

A soft giggle left you, and you paused your struggle with the cords for a moment—just long enough to study Hana. You'd always respected her, almost to the point of idolization; she was an icon even outside of her country. To be working alongside her here at Overwatch was a dream, and seeing her never failed to lift your spirits. She was like your own personal Christmas, giving you a burst of positivity and hope every time you ran into her in the halls or stumbled across her in the cafeteria.

She managed to separate one chain of lights from the others and immediately looked up at you, a prideful smile gracing her features. The warmth radiating off of her was intense enough to melt the snow around you (you'd actually stolen a glance to check if she had, and were shocked to find that the ground was just as icy as it'd been before she'd arrived).

"I feel like I'm going to set a record for most cords of lights untangled in a set amount of time," she boasted. You rolled your eyes playfully, and she forced herself to purse her lips. "What can I say? I'm an achievement hunter."

"Really?" you pressed on in a fit of friendly sarcasm. "I would've never guessed." You noted the rosiness of her cheeks as she crawled past you, her attention drawn towards the disorderly pile of boxes behind you. So much for freeing you from your glowing, festive prison.

"No way!" she gasped, already off the topic of untangling lights. Wow, she really was the queen of having ADHD.

"What?" You squirmed around in an attempt to turn to look at her, failing miserably. You'd succeeded, though, in terms of looking like an absolute clown.
