"Susan! Susan, I brought two lads with me." Bob yelled as soon as they entered a barn house. Just like any other barn Jimin has seen, there's a gate around the entire thing. Besides the actual animal barn, there was a house painted in all red.
The interior was surely something else. There were antiques everywhere. If it weren't for the sudden infection, everything in the house would cost a fortune. "Oh my, look how handsome!" An older woman said as she walked in front of them.
Surprisingly, she hugged both of them. She gave almost like a grandma feeling when she looked at them. "What's your names?" She asked "I'm Jimin and this is my. . . my younger brother Jungkook."
"Why hello there. You two are so young! Where are your parents?" Jimin's small smile left at the question. Jungkook's head slowly moved down, now looking at the ground. "Now look what you've done Susan."
Bob said with a disappointed shake of the head. "Oh, I'm so sorry dearies. I didn't mean to open an unhealed wound." Jimin shook his head slowly "It's alright. . . stuff happens. We'll move on." Jimin placed his hand on top of Jungkook's shoulder and gave him a soft smile.
"Anyways, why don't you two sit down? Are you hungry? I'll serve you two some food." "Yes, thank you." Jimin said as he pulled Jungkook to sit on the chair of the kitchen table. "Honey, do you think you can get some eggs from the barn?"
Susan asked, making Bob grunt as a reply. "Sit sit, we'll have company soon." "Company?" Jimin asked. "Yes, my son and daughter. They're out searching. I'm sure they'll come back soon." Susan then began to move around the kitchen.
"Do you think we can trust them?" Jungkook asked in Korean. Jimin instantly perked up and frowned "Why wouldn't we? They're giving us food and a warm place to stay." Jimin responded in Korean as well.
"I don't know, I don't think we should trust people so easily." Jimin placed his hand on top of Jungkook's. "Hey, it's okay. If we find something suspicious, we can leave. For now, we should take this opportunity to rest and eat okay?"
Jungkook nodded, whispering a small okay. "What're you too talking about? I'm afraid I can't speak the language you two were talking in." Susan asked with a smile. "It's my brother, he's just shy and nervous is all." Jimin responded with an apologetic smile.
"Oh that's okay! It's normal. Even back before the virus you had to watch out for strangers, I don't know why you wouldn't still do it now. It's dangerous out there and you never know who you'll end up with.
I'm not saying we're bad people but you should listen to your brother more." Jimin chuckled, easily agreeing. "Yeah you're right. I should listen to him more." Susan smiled brightly at them as she sat a plate of bread with jam on the table.
