Chapter 47

I rushed over to the front door once I heard the doorbell go off. I stood up on my tippy toes and looked out the peep hole. I smiled once I seen Trey standing there with a lady. I quickly unlocked the door and opened it. "Simone." Trey smiled widely. "Hey." I grabbed him by his arm and pulled him into a tight hug. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forvever." I said as he let me go. He chuckled. "It's been a week and a half, but it feels longer." I nodded.

I turned to the lady beside him and smiled. "You must be Asia." I held out my hand for her to shake. "Im Simone, nice to meet you." She gave me a soft smile and shook my hand. "You too." I stepped to the side and motioned for them to come in. "You guys can come inside."

Trey let Asia in first and then came in behind her. "Excuse all the boxes, Im in the process of moving." Trey lifted a brow. "Really? Where you going?" I cleared my throat and sat down on my couch. "Back in with August." Both of Trey's brows shot up. "You gotta tell me what's going on." I laughed. "I will later."

Trey and Asia took a seat on the couch beside me. "It's nice to finally meet you Simone, Trey talks about you alot." I cracked a small smile. "Really?" I looked over at Trey and smiled. "Yeah, he tells me you guys are really good friends." I nodded. "Yeah, we have a really good friendship.....Trey told me that you guys met in high school."

A big smile spread across her face. "Yeah...we dated for awhile back then." She looked over at Trey and smiled at him. "Were you guys dating when he thought he was A thug?" Asia and I laughed. "No, I think we had just broken up before that phase, thank god." I shook my head. "I couldn't believe that when his mom told me." She chuckled. "Well believe, your lucky you didn't see it, he was doing the most." Trey laughed. "So y'all just gon talk about me like Im not here?" We both nodded.

"Pretty much." I said with a smile. "So." I started. "What do you do for a living?" "Oh, Im a Doctor. I work at the hospital Trey's mother was at....that's how we bumped into each other." I nodded slowly. "What about you?" She asked sitting up straight. "I own a boutique a few blocks from here, nothing special." Asia smiled. "I would love to do something like that, but I love my job too."

I smiled. "Saving lifes is a pretty big job." "Yeah it is." I stood up from the couch and walked towards the kitchen. "Do you guys want something to drink?" Asia shook her head, and Trey nodded. "You still have my 6 pack of beer in there?" I chuckled. "Yeah of course, I can't drink it." He laughed. "Can you bring me one please." "Sure." I looked over at Trey and smiled, while Asia looked a little uncomfortable. I opened up the fridge and grabbed one beer.

"Here you go?" I handed Trey the bottle and sat back down on the couch. "....You look like your about to pop, how far along are you?" Asia asked me. "I'll be 8 months in a week." She nodded slowly. "....Congratulations." "Speaking of that." Trey started. "I know I've been missing appointments due toeverything that's been going on, do you know when the next one is?" I nodded. "Yeah, next week Tuesday at 2."

"Alright text me the time, and I'll pick you up." Asia turned to Trey and frowned. "I thought we were going out on Tuesday?" Trey sighed. "That's right, damn." I chuckled. "It's fine Trey, Im sure August will go with me, it's okay." He shook his head. "No, I missed too many appointments already....can we go out Tuesday night?" He asked Asia. She cracked a small smile and nodded. "Sure."

For the rest of the time they were here, it was basically Trey and I talking. The only time Asia would speak was when she as spoken too. Even though it was extremely awkward, I put on my best face for Trey since I know he really likes her. I didn't know what made her quiet all of a sudden, but I had a strong feeling it was about the baby and I.

THE NEXT DAY

I walked into the boutique with Kelsey following behind me. Since I had to enroll her in school this morning, we both decided on her spending the day with me at work to see what I did and meet Kerri and Ellis of course.
