I approached the dragon that I had just successfully taken down. A large dragon with four wings, a Stormcutter. It roared out a pitiful roar, looking past me and at Valka instead. Valka came running over to it, I yelled at her to get away, scared it would kill her. She refused and began to cut the dragon free. When I went to stop her she pushed me away with a new force and determination.
"Valka, stop! What are you doing?" I yell, finally pulling her away from the dragon.
"Please, Stoick, you can't kill him! He's my brother..." She admits, looking sadly back at the dragon that was struggling to get free.
I sigh. "I have to Val," I say, walking back towards the dragon as she desperately tried to pull me back. "I'm doing it for Berk." I lift my axe and bring it swiftly down on the dragon's neck. It lets out a wavering roar and lies still. "If he really is your brother, you should bring him to Gothi's. Get him fixed up." I tell her, walking away as some other Vikings walk over to help her.

Later in the day I make my way up to Gothi's. The first thing I see is Valka, sitting on a stool next to a cot. A man laid there, who I assumed was her brother. His neck was bandaged and I cringed. I had been close to beheading him, I knew that and that would've ended him permanently. Valka did not look up when I walked over to her. "Val, you know it's for his own good. There's only one winning side in this war and it's the Vikings." I rested a hand on her shoulder. She still did not look up.
"Not every dragon wants to be a Viking..." She mumbles.
"Val, you know the dragons aren't going to win this war. And there are other villages out there that would kill them for good. We're doing the right thing, you know that."
"He never asked for this... I never asked for this... Hiccup never asked for this... I'm tired of this war, Stoick. And I'm going to find a way to end it."
