chapter 9

buzz-buzz

I suddenly wake from the vibrations of my phone, peering one eye open as the dull sun peeks through the living room curtains.

I look down to see Minho nuzzled into me, his arms flopped over my waist as our bodies touch, making my face burn up as he moves slightly, pressing himself closer to me.

I snap out of my stare as he doesn't show a sign of waking up to hear my phone buzzing again. I reach up, blindly searching for my phone as my hand scatters about the side table next to the sofa since i can't move from Minho.

Eventually i find it and grab it, pulling it towards my face and looking at my phone, sliding the screen to answer the call to the person on the line.

"Hello?"
I ask.

"Y/n it's me."
A  male voice replies.

"Channie?"

"Yes."

"Ah i miss you-"
I say, pouting as i sit up carefully.

"I miss you too Y/n."

"So why did you call?"

"Well i was-"

Minho  suddenly interrupts, startling me as he's suddenly awake.
"Who's that?"
He asks in a tired tone, his voice deep and  raspy, making my heart flutter intensely as i stare at his face.

"Hello? Are you there?"

I break from my stare as Chan speaks through the phone.
"O-Oh sorry it's just Minho is next to me and he just woke up and startled me."

"Oh thank god! We've been worried sick. Minho didn't come home last night and he didn't say where he was."

I slap my face against my palm, feeling guilty for not telling anyone where he was.
"I'm so sorry Channie, i forgot you all live together.."

"Hey y/n don't stress about it, i'm more relieved that he was with you and not out drunk and sleeping in a bin or something."

He softly chuckles through the phone, causing a smile to appear on my face.
"I'll speak to you later? I can drop Minho off soon if you'd like?"

"I was going to come get him but we would be late for school. You haven't forgotten have you?."

"Oh sh-... Chan ill see you later."

I end the call with a small smile still on my face.
"Was that Chan on the phone?"
Minho says, making me jump as i forgot he was awake and now sitting up beside me.

"Y-Yes."
I stutter, catching my breath as his tired brown eyes melt into mine, his hair messy and his lips parted. My heart fluttering even more.

"Well...uh..we should get ready, we need to get to school."
I stand from the sofa, about to walk away until Minho grabs my wrist as he's now standing behind me.

He spins me on my heels, facing him, pulling me into his embrace.
"Y/n i-"

He gets cut off by Chaeyoung walking into the kitchen that's connected to the living room, she pauses and turns to look at us, mouth wide open as she holds a glass of water.

I immediately pull myself away from Minho, walking round the sofa to greet her awkwardly.

"Y/n-"
"Hey Chaeyoung! How was your day yesterday?"
I say, spinning on my feet as i grabbed a juice box from the fridge, rather quickly which takes both Chaeyoung and Minho aback.

"It-"
"It was good? Okay cool! Gotta go!"
I run off to my room, panting heavily as i slam the door shut.

I ruffle my hair frustratedly as i walk to my en-suite.

I wash my face and brush my hair before pulling out my makeup and applying it to my face.

I walk out to my wardrobe, pulling out an outfit.

I pair my outfit with some black chelsea boots before heading out my room.

I walk into the living room to see Chaeyoung on her phone. My head looks around for Minho but he's not in sight.

"Where's Minho?"
I ask as Chaeyoung lifts up her head, looking at me.
"He's getting changed in the bathroom. I gave him some spare clothes that your brother left, i hope that was okay?"
"No that's fine."
I smile and she does the same.

Minho eventually comes out of the bathroom and my heart pounds as he smiles widely, knowing he looks good. Making me grin like an idiot.
