(Dipper's POV)

I sat on my bed, barely paying attention to the cards in my hand.

"Bro bro?" Mabel asks me.

I look up, "Hmm? Yes?"

"Do you have any fives?"

I handed her two and she squealed. Mabel and I had been playing Go Fish! for a day pretty much. The entire bus ride back to Gravity Falls had consisted of cards, sleeping, and playing Look What We Can Find Under the Seat.... we need to work on that name. All of my time in California was spent with school work or trying to find ways to bring back Willa. We all searched for two months and didn't find a trace of her or that purple thing anywhere.

"Dipper?"

I look up again, "What?"

"Do you want to play later? You seem lost in thought."

"Mabel... we've been back for two days and I can't stop thinking about Willa."

"Really? I've been excited to see all of my friends. But come on, we're almost done. Hand me any threes if you got 'em."

Sighing again, I passed three threes and Mabel punched the air in victory.

"Alright! Jacks? Got those?"

"Go fish," I say with little enthusiasm.

I glance at Mabel's discouraged face and guilt clings to me. It's fine. I just need to catch up on sleep and get Grunkle Ford to help me before Christmas hits next week. My twin stares at me with a raised eyebrow. She definitely knows something is off... or wrong, however you want to put it. My mind drifts to the journal hiding under my pillow. Writing has been scribbled throughout the pages almost all about Willa and universes. Well, really anything to help me find her or find out where she went. I have been to so many libraries trying to find something.

(Mabel's POV)

Dipper has been so distant since the summer. Unenthusiastic, lack of energy... depressed. Losing Willa took a blow to all of us, but at least I stayed optimistic! Sighing, I yanked the forgotten cards from Dipper's hand and he turned.

"Hey! That's cheating!" he protested as I grabbed the rest of the cards.

"Well, you weren't playing anyways."

Dipper frowned, "What do you mean?"

"It was your turn, and, has been for the past two minutes. Look, I know that it was hard losing Willa... But you need to get back to the real world. You spend hours, that should be used for sleeping, researching until you pass out. How many days have I woken up only to see you drooling over library books and your journal. Just get Grunkle Ford to help you, he has a journal."

"Mabel, he didn't know about the siblings until we introduced him last summer," his voice was choked, and I almost felt sorry for being so rude.

"Look, I know you liked her. I liked her too. It has been so long though, you need to get over it!!!!"

"Mabel-"

"No! Listen Mason!" I ignored the growl he let out for using his real name, "Willa is gone. She will come again, Bill said so, but you need to calm down and let it go!"

Dipper stood, anger in his eyes. He stormed over to his bed and grabbed his journal and stormed out of the room and I heard the front door slam. Sighing, I release a shaky breath and put all the cards in box. He needs to learn to let go of somethings.
