MATE or PACK(ON HOLD)

CHAPTER 2

May's p.o.v

"May, will you get yourself down here .You have school remember"My mom was shouting outside my door.

It's a Monday morning,and absolutely there's school. Sometimes I wonder , do we really have to go to school. It's not letting me I'll use algebra to calculate how much pizza I bought at Domino's. Or do I use calculus to know the amount of ice cream I bought.
Yeah, you should have figured it out by now. I hate maths. Simple.

"Coming"
"Hopefully,I won't have to come drag you outside" she said as I heard her going downstairs

I made my way to the bathroom, I went about my daily business. I put on my clothes. I love my clothes simple and classy. And I'm obsessed with hoodies.
I applied my mascara and lip gloss to prevent chapped lips.

I made my way downstairs where I smelt pancakes. They say food is the way to a man's heart. I'm certainly not a man but food is a way to the four-chambered- blood pumping organ in the left region of my chest. I caught sight of my dad at the dining table.
If you haven't noticed,I'm an only child. My parents actually tried to have more kids but the pack doctor advised them against it.  I'll really love to have siblings but not to the extent of risking my mom's life.

I am not a daughter of an alpha, neither am I a daughter of a beta. Neither of my parents is a pack doctor and we do not have the blood of warriors. We are just we. Ordinary members of the Nature pack.

Our pack is in middle of a forest ,we also have a stream. We love nature so much. We are also easygoing but that doesn't make us weak. We are just not 'war people'.

"Morning dad' I said as I sat on the chair. My mum placed a plate of pancake in front of me.
"Morning sunshine" my dad is used to pet names. He is the softie of the family, not like my mum's harsh but she is stricter.

"How was your night"
"Short as ever". Don't mind me. My night is always short.

I finished my food and gave a good bye kiss to mum and dad. I made it out of the house and drove my car to school.

I guess you guys need an introduction. I'm May Daniels. I'm 17 years old, so I do not have a wolf yet. I get nervous at times, what of my wolf does not like me(dad said she will). What if I don't even shift at all(considering as both parents are wolves,that's not possible) .
I have a boyfriend, Jake Petrakis. He's 17 too almost 18, he doesn't have a wolf yet too. He is the son of the beta of our pack We don't know if we'll end up as mates so the connection isn't really there. But I wish we are anyways.

I parked my car at the usual spot. Just then I spot my two best friends Leomie and Sam.
Leomie is a brunette with green eyes,olive skin and a shape that will make models green with envy. She stands at about 5'9. She is the quiet one. She is human anyways. But she knows about our world. She was found on the borders and ever since,she had been living in our pack. She lives in the pack house. And about a month ago, Hank, the alpha's son turned 18 and she turned out to be his mate. Wonderful right, a human Luna. They've been going through different lessons on how to handle a pack. Hank is going to be the official Alpha of the pack when he turns 20.

I've never actually fancied things like that. Once you are in a high position, your life no longer come first, you can't even go on vacation. That sucks.  I hope my mate is an ordinary pack member like me

Sam on the other hand is never the quietest person in the whole world. She is extremely bubbly. She is 17 also. She is the daughter of one of the best warriors and the youngest child. Her brothers are pretty scary, so no guys mess with her. Well she would have actually kicked him in the balls even before her brothers even move an inch. So much for being born I'm to a warrior family.

A hand was snaked around my waist and I caught the smell of cologne

"Hey pretty" he said with his mouth on my neck.
"Hey handsome".
"You smell good today"
"I've always smelt like that" I chuckled
"How about we both report sick, there's a really nice place we can visit you know"
"No Jakey no, we won't ditch school. Now stop being a pervert and let's attend class".
"Ok,but I haven't had my morning kiss yet you know"

The sound of throats being cleared brought us out of our love world.
"We really appreciate the love show you guys are putting up. But we have class you know." Sam, the crazy said.
"Oh yes" Jake said,just then he was called by his friends.
"See you later pumpkin" He then went to join his friends.

"So our dear lover, can we go for first period now."Leomie spoke for the first time that morning
"How about we ditch" I teased
"How about we skip lunch" Sam said.
"Let's just go". I groaned
My friends are traitors, threatening me with food.

First period,here I come.
