CHAPTER 9

Dean's pov

I sat and rested my back on a tree bark. I was thinking. What happened between us and witches?. There's no history of bad blood between us.
I'll have to call Dad and ask, is there any thing that's hidden. Or did we do something wrong against them that's so shaming it's not worth putting in the historical book. I have to call Dad immediately I get back to my office but for now, I have to be alone.

What's happening is so bad. I feel like snapping the neck of that witch. How dare her do this to our pack. Making us look like fools. Gavin said.

We'll do something about it, I promise.
The image of the burning field flashed in my mind.
The protests of the people. And I couldn't do anything. Their sweats. Yeah, our pack have a high standard of living but that doesn't mean everyone's wealthy. Everyone's disappointed in me. I couldn't do anything.
In annoyance,I stood and began running again but towards the direction of the burnt field.

Michael, get me a short and shirt. Drop it by the burnt field. I ordered him

Right away alpha.

I made it to the burnt field and spotted Micheal with the clothes running at full speed. He made it to where I am in less than 1 minute. He handed the clothes to me and I shifted to human form and wore the clothes.

"I was worried about you, you've been gone for more than 5 hours" he said to me.

"There's nothing to worry about" I said in a not so polite voice. Who cares about politeness this moment.

He knew better than to keep talking.so he kept quiet. I made my way to the burnt ashes. I dropped one knee to the ground and touched the ashes. Some appeared like solid but on touching changed to powder.

All of a sudden, I felt a cold force go through me. This is not winter so it's not supposed to be cold. The force left me almost immediately so I dismissed it. I touched the ashes again and this time the force came again but this time with great intensity. I swayed, and before Michael could catch me from falling, I fell.

The force stayed in my head and started pounding. It was tearing my brain apart, I could tell.

I could vaguely hear Michael shouting my name out and orders to the guards through the link about coming to take me to the pack hospital or something. Even those noise made the pain a million times worse.

"Alpha st_ with _ m - pl _s". I was going in and out of consciousness. Part of me wanted to stay and know what's happening buh the remaining part wanted to rest in the darkness looking over me. A soothing darkness behind those pounding.

I felt myself being lifted from the floor and into a car. The car started and the jerking too was so disturbing. Don't these people understand someone's in pain.
The car stopped all of a sudden. And I was being hoisted up again.  What's with me being carried.
All these I wanted to say out loud but my mouth was mine no longer. All the parts of my body felt heavy.

I was carried into a room that was white. Too white it wanted to blind me. I used almost all the remaining energy in me in squinting my eyes.  Who paints a room so white.

Gavin has since being gone. I granted him an holiday. The guy has worked so hard.

They placed me on a bed that was so soft I feared I'll fall through it. My weight could cause a hole in it.  A man's face came into my view. He was talking but I heard nothing. I knew he was talking because his lips were moving. All of a sudden, he turned to two, then four, then six.

Was he playing a joke on me. I felt the darkness overtaking me and I smiled internally, it was too soothing for me to refuse.

I released myself to the darkness and allowed it swallow me. All of me.

I opened my eyes and found myself in a vast space.

How did I get here, I made a 360 degree movement to know if I was going to see someone. But no.
This Earth was created for me only?. If it's Earth.

" took you long enough to get here. I'll give it to you,you're pretty strong. Some people barely stood 5 minutes."

An unfamiliar voice echoed through the space.
"Who are you"

"Call me a great admirer of you."

"Show your face, I dare you"

"Someone's getting ahead of themselves, ain't they?"

The voice said in a sing song manner. So far I can tell about the voice, it's a female's.

"What do you want with me" I questioned while glancing around

"It's easy, i wanted to show you a little memory"

"And you think I'll believe you" I scoffed

" Your opinion is not needed here" she snapped, I think I got on a nerve.

"Let's get this over with"

"Inviare nel regno del passato. Il passato che è stato coperto, gettato nella polvere"
She chanted.

And suddenly I'm thrown into another darkness. What's with darkness today.

I opened my eyes and I found myself in a room filled with about 20 werewolves. In their midst was a map of a territory. I went to stand beside a man that looked like the leader. I glanced at the map. It's a territory. I've never seen this territory before.

"We'll go in as planned. Luke, Lucas and Lucky, all three all of you will be with me. We will go through the main gate" he said as he pointed to three men standing side by side. They appeared to be triplets.

"The rest of you go through the back exit. They'll want to attack us. We are just a distraction. Remember nobody should know about this"

"Yes alpha" they said in unison.

Alpha?

I wanted to ask them alpha of what pack when I was plugged into darkness again.

This time when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a battle ground.
Those men I saw earlier are are fighting with some people.

Who are they?  I thought

They are witches . That voice answered again.

Witches?

Yes witches. They killed us, you killed us , you destroyed us. The voice said with a lot of venom.

I wanted to reply but out of the corner of my eye, I saw a wolf about to run a sword into a woman. I tried to hold him back but my hand passed through his body.

You can't do anything silly, it's only a memory. I showed you what I wanted to already, so it's time for you to go back.
But remember, I will come for you. All of you.

"Wait please,let's talk" I pleaded.

There's nothing to talk about. It's time to go. But know that no matter how much you reinforce your army, I will still conquer. Now be gone.

"Wait, wait pl......"
I didn't get to finish my sentence before I was plugged in darkness again but this time to wake up in my pack.
