Selena's POV  (yay or nay?)

“I hate you.”

“I am sorry.”

I cross my arms, stalking to his room leaving him at the door.  I sense him walking behind me, calling my name and saying he's sorry. He stopped by the kitchen, probably putting the pizza since he sounds like he wants to talk to me first than eating it. Then he is on the steps, taking two at a time. I shut the door just as he is in front of it. I technically shut it on his face.

Once I was inside, I walk far from the door and couldn't help but let my giggles out. It have been bubbling inside my chest the whole time he looked at me like he was so scared.

“Why didn't he tell me?” I muttered under my breath, looking at Charlie. Charlie blew out a sigh not having an accurate answer at my question. I felt so frustrated.

“I don't really know.”

I heaved a deep breath. Why Justin didn't tell me and got me getting all hot over thinking things about that phone call? Ugh, what the heck is going on in his mind?

I look back at Charlie noticing a fading purple mark on the right of his jaw. “What happened to your face?”

Then he cracked into a smile that soon became a grin. “Oh, this?” he used a finger to touch the purple portion of his jaw. I quietly nodded.

“Justin's fist facing my anger.” He was chuckling as if it's a funny thing. Then realization dawned upon me remembering Justin's lips that night we had a fight. Hid lips were cut.

“Did you guys really do...that? What are you, fifteen?” I scoffed, shaking my head.

He raised his hands in surrender, his grin never faltering. “Hands up. It was my fault.”

I scowl at him. “Oh, enlighten me.”

He rolled his eyes then proceed. “I was so angry when he told me about your relationship with him. I felt so betrayed. I was lost and my fist had a mind of its own. I launched at him—granted we meet in a private hotel lounge so no one really witness us. Then of course, like a guy, he fought back. Then this,” he touched his jaw again, “happened. And more but I'm healing. Don't worry.”

“Such a kid,” I huff. Charlie just laughed. I was about to say something when his phone starts ringing. He excused himself before answering it and walking away to have some privacy to talk to whoever's on the line. I sigh.

I use the time he was away to think of what he told me. Apparently, he called my phone a week ago and Justin answered it. Then Justin proposed to have a man talk with him. Charlie was hesitant but agreed anyway. Then the same day Justin and I had a fight is the same the day the two meet to talk. It wasn't smooth. Justin starts telling Charlie about what's the situation and he says he's sorry about it but he can't do anything about it because he loves me. Charlie didn't like it. He hated that idea. Then they were both all over each other, yelling at each other's faces. To sum it up, Justin tried to talk to Charlie and wants me not to have a hard time explaining it myself. My heart warms at that.

“Um, Sel, I got to go,” Charlie announces after he got back from the phone call. I stand up and nodded. “Okay. See you around.”

He replied me a tight smile and walk over to me to give me a warm hug. His hug means so much for me. I whispered on his ear, “I'm sorry.”

I felt him smile, and his body loosen up. He pat my shoulder and kissed my forehead then he let me go. “I understand it. I can't force you to love me. However, I'm happy for you. You look happier with him. And I know he's the happiest with you. I wish you both the best.”
