Two days later...

No one's pov

It had been exactly two days since Kol stole from King Lucien and gave the money to Davina and his daughter along with the people of New Orleans.

Everything had been going mad, young children and teenagers were putting up hoods in the streets as a symbol of respect to the hooded hero.

King Lucien was getting anxious about the new thief and the reaction he was getting from the people, he had sent Tristan De Martel and Malachai Parker to go and look out around the streets of New Orleans to see if they could find anything about the thief or his stolen money. 

As of right now Lord Kol Mikaelson, had just left the palace after spending an hour listening to King Lucien rant on and on about the thief and how he's going to kill him when he finds him.

Kol just smirked to himself at how frustrated he was getting over it but he felt bad for his wives Aurora and Camille were trying to calm him down, he knew the King wasn't nice to his wives.

The people of New Orleans always said King Lucien didn't love any of his wives, he just liked them for sex. 

Kol was making his way home when he heard screaming coming from nearby and he instantly recognized the scream so he ran in the direction of the scream.

"Get off her! Give me my daughter!" he heard Davina yell causing him to run faster "mommy!" he heard his daughter cry.

Kol came to a corner and peered round it and what he saw enraged him. Tristan had hold of their daughter with a sick grin on his face and Malachai held Davina who was thrashing in his arms "your child was born out of wedlock Miss Claire so now your daughter belongs to us by order of the King" Tristan said "No! You can't take her. She's my baby!" Davina yelled Kol's heart broke and he instantly sprung into action and since he secretly had his hooded jacket and bow and arrow with him.

He pulled on his jacket and pulled up his hood and scarf before moving round the corner with his bow and arrow in hand and he instantly shot at Malachai who had a knife held to Davina's throat to stop her from fighting against him.

The arrow Kol shot hit him straight in the neck causing him to instantly let go of Davina and fall to his knees grabbing onto the arrow and yanking it out making blood blood spurt out.

Davina didn't care and she lunged at Tristan punching him in the face and kicking him in the balls and Kol shot an arrow at Tristan right in the shoulder before shooting another in his stomach.

Davina picked up Clara and holding her close to her as she cried. Davina cried as she held her daughter "shh it's okay baby. Mommy's here, you're going nowhere" she cooed as she tried to calm her down but her daughter was so frightened by what happened she couldn't stop crying or shaking.

Kol stood there and his heart ached for them, his heart broke at seeing their little girl so scared and upset. Davina sniffled and turned to the hooded figure who she did not know was Kol "thank you" she said giving him a grateful smile before turning around and walking away.

Kol's eyes softened as he watched her walk away and he knew after what just happened, he couldn't keep away from Davina or their little girl as he knew Tristan would come after them.

He would try to take their daughter away and he couldn't stand back and watch the King and the high council members rip his family apart. He had to start being there for both of them in person no matter what Vincent said, Kol simply couldn't nor did he want to stay away from Davina and their daughter after what happened. He had to protect them and he couldn't do that by simply keeping a distance while he gets his revenge against the King and the high council by being a hero.

Kol turned around and walked away, keeping himself hidden as he made his way home.

Tristan staggered his way back to the palace dragging Malachai behind him, he was still alive after the hooded thief shot him but Malachai wasn't too lucky.

After being shot in the neck by an arrow and yanking it out of himself Malachai bled out and died.

The King will surely be furious when he founds out especially when he finds out they failed in carrying out an order. King Lucien desired Davina, he wanted her even though she was dating his step brother Kaleb who she didn't know was his step brother.

Lucien wanted to make her his third wife but he wanted to get rid of her daughter so he ordered Tristan and Malachai to take Clara away from Davina. King Lucien wasn't actually aware of the fact Clara was Lord Kol's daughter, sure everyone in New Orleans knew about Davina's relationship with Lord Kol Mikaelson and they knew it was pretty serious considering they were engaged but some people just didn't seem to know or think she was Kol's.

The only people who knew Clara was Kol's daughter was Bonnie, Enzo, Marcel, Rebekah, Aiden, Josh and Father Kieran. Davina's boyfriend also knew she was Kol's child something he didn't like as it meant she would always have a connection to him and he felt threatened by it as he knows Davina is very much still in love with Kol. 

When Tristan showed up in the King's meeting room with a dead Malachai by his feet, he shoved everything off his table in anger and he growled in anger when Tristan explained the thief had showed up and shot him and Malachai allowing Davina to get away with her daughter.

King Lucien ordered Tristan to leave him alone and to deal with Malachai's body. Tristan left the room and dragged Malachai over to Aurora and Camille "bury him" he said leaving him by their feet as he walked passed them. The two women scoffed in disgust as they looked down at Malachai's dead body before grabbing his body and dragging it outside to bury him.

End of chapter. What did you think? I know it was a little short but I hope you liked it. Tristan and Malachai attacked Davina and tried to take Clara from her under orders by the King. Kol showed up and stopped them. He saved his girls yay. Kol doesn't want to stay away from them anymore. He's going to start being there for them in person. King Lucien wants Davina to be his third wife and wants to get rid of Clara by having her taken away from Davina. Will Kol find out? If so how will he react? Will he protect his girl and daughter from the King? What will happen next? Stay tuned for more
