Ben's POV
Dinner was a disaster!! I am furious!! No one is going to the isle, and that's final. I had Melody locked up in the tower, and until I can trust that she won't endanger herself, that's where she will stay.

"Ben, don't you think keeping her locked in a tower is a little much?" Mal argued

"No, I don't. Melody tried to make a dangerous deal with Jay, Mal!" She rolled her eyes

"He would never let her go there, especially not alone." She yelled, "You cannot lock her up. She is soon to be Queen of Atlantica!"

"I will do what I have to, to keep her safe! She is in my kingdom, which means I will not be stopped!" I yelled back

"You're acting like your inner beast, not the Ben I know!" She says with tears filling her eyes, and she walks away, slamming my office door. I sit down at my desk and slam my fist down.

Maybe I am overreacting.

Melody's POV:

My head is pounding, and I am locked in this stupid tower!! Ugh, I am going to kill Ben when I see him next.

Don't they think I can handle myself? Who are they? My parents? UGH! Wait... who hit me? I want answers... and I want them now!

"Hey, let me out of here! Or at least tell me why I am in here and for how long! I have things to do!!!" I scream while hitting the door repeatedly. I wait 10 minutes, and no one comes. "HELPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!" After that, I started screaming as loud as I could.

About an hour after screaming passes by, I am lying on the floor. I sit up, hearing the door open, and finally, Ben comes in looking very amused with a tray of food. Oh, he thinks this is funny?

"Mel, are you done?" He chuckles and sets the tray on the dresser

"That depends. Can I leave?" I sass, crossing my arms.

"Not. I have informed your parents and they are aware of yesterday's incident and have agreed with me on my concern for your safety. With that, you will be staying here. They sent some papers for you to do, and I had Evie collect your homework." He says, and Dopey's son brings in everything, and Evie follows after with a rack full of different fabrics and clothes.

"Ben, I promise I won't go to the Isle. I've been reflecting, and I realize that my plan has some major flaws and needs a better safety plan to be made; please let me go?" I beg, and Evie crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow looking at myself on my knees in front of the young king.

"Mel, come on, get up" Evie pulls me up, now rolling her eyes at me for being dramatic. "I know this situation is not ideal, but we have a lot of major projects to work on; we need to work on homework and your cotillion dress." Shaking my head, I stand up

"No! I refuse to do anything until I am let out of here. If you want me to work with you, then I have some demands that need to be met. For starters, I want a room without a lock. Secondly, I want to be able to go to my classes. You can even have people follow me around." I cross my arms and sit on the large bed in the room.

Ben takes a deep breath and after some time of sitting in silence and Ben pacing back and forth, He finally speaks up. "Fine. You'll stay with Evie and Mal. I'll have my guards move you all into a three-bedroom suite. Since you have all classes except for one with Mal and the other with Evie, you are not allowed to leave their side. It would be best if you also kept this bracelet on at all times, so I know where you are. If you go anywhere near the exit of Auradon prep, I will put you back in this tower just as fast as I'm letting you out, understand??" He says, clearly frustrated. I nod excitedly.

"Thank you!! Also, can I have my phone please?" He takes it out of his pocket and hands it to me. "One more thing, who knocked me out?" King Ben looks at Evie, and Evie looks guilty as hell. "Evie?" I say with sadness in my voice, and she slowly nods

"Melody, I am so sorry I just couldn't let you make a decision-" I cut her off.

"No, stop. I don't want to hear it," I say as I run out of the room and down the stairs. Evie is running after me, begging me to please hear her out, and I don't want to. I run to the pool house and jump in, not caring about my clothes. As soon as I jump in, I turn into my mermaid form. My long hair covers a lilac tail and a light teal top. Instead of going back to the top, I swim to the bottom of the pool. I lay at the bottom and looked up. I wish they would understand. I want my grandpa here I know he would respect it.

45 minutes later (still Melody's POV)

I open my eyes and realize that it's now dark in the pool house. I swim to the top and look around. I see Evie and Mal talking at the other end of the pool, sitting on a bench. I smirk and get the urge to scare them. I slowly go back under and swim along the bottom of the pool to the other side. When I get to the other side, I start to speed up to the top, jump out of the water, and flip back in, causing a bunch of water to splash the girls and drench them. I hear them scream. I laugh and go back to the surface.

"Oops", I giggle, and they send me a playful glare. "I'm sorry I had to" I start laughing, and they jump in the water as well, and we all start laughing and splashing each other. We all stop as soon as the lights turn on and the fairy godmother and guards storm inside.

"Young ladies, what on earth is happening here?" Fairy godmother shouts sternly with her arms crossed. "Get out of the pool at once and go to your dorms!" We all silently get out of the water. I take at least 10 minutes to turn back into my human form. The girls are waiting for me wrapped in a towel, handing me a towel. We leave with guards following back to our new dorm.

I forgot I was supposed to meet Mal at midnight last night before I got locked up. I hope she still keeps her end of the deal.

Mal's POV:
The fairy godmother is so annoying. Ugh, she is having guards follow us. We walk into our dorm, and they finally leave. Our room is enormous, and Evie is trying not to freak out in excitement. Melody rolls her eyes, goes to her bed, and screams into her pillow. One word
DRAMATIC PRINCESS. Okay, that was two, I laugh to myself.

I feel bad for her. She has excellent ideas and isn't allowed even to try and put them into motion, and I cannot help her, or Ben would leave me and send me back. I unpack my book bag, setting all my books on my desk. I hide my spell-book under a few of them, so no one finds it, then I cast a spell to put myself in my sleep clothes. If only I didn't have to break my promise. After a few minutes, I fall asleep along with Evie and Melody.
