Melody's POV:

I waited about three hours after the lights were out, and Mal and Evie were sleeping soundly. I write a note and leave it on my bedside table. I try to get the bracelet off, but it doesn't work, so I leave it on. It might help me if I do get into trouble on the isle. I change into one of Evie's isle outfits, pack a small bag and pack it with things I might need as I consolidate; I see Mal's spell book peeking out from underneath her other books. That could be my way to the isle! I quietly grab it and put it in my bag.

I walk to the edge of the water and stare at the isle. I took a deep breath and got on my lilac and light teal electric scooter. My parents got me and got out Mal's book. I cast a spell on the scooter to get me across the waters. "Nobel steed, proud and fair, you shall take me anywhere" I took off, racing across the water, and passed through the barrier. Once I landed on the isle, I took out a map to the VK's hang out they have always told us about. I speed there and throw the rock at the sign. After parking my scooter and taking the key, it will probably get stolen. It is the isle, of course. I go all the way up and enter their hangout. It's beautiful in a way I never would have thought to decorate. It's cool. I go and lay on a random bed and fall asleep quickly. I woke up this morning to a loud noise outside of the hangout. I get up and peak out of the window. A pirate is stealing from a group of kids. I stop looking, not being able to see what happens next. I put my hair up in a messy bun, changed my clothes, and put a hat on.

Once I am ready to explore the isle, I grab my backpack and head out for the day.

Evie's POV
Mal's alarm goes off, and it wakes me up but not her. She is a profound sleeper. She loves her sleep, so I'm not going to wake her up. I should probably wake up Melody though we have class in like 20mins.

So I get out of bed and look at her bed, and it seems weird. I walk over.

"Hey Melody, it's time to get up; we have class soon" I stop once I am by her bed, seeing a note on the bedside table.

"Dear Mal and Evie", it started ", I am sorry if this gets you both in trouble, but I have left for the isle of the lost. By the time you read this, I will already be there. Don't worry about me. I took some backup supplies knowing I would need to be able to fit in. I took a few outfits from both of you, Mal's spellbook, and a map of the isle Evie gave me when we first became friends. I am so grateful to both of you. I just really needed to go. I have a lot of things to get done before I am Queen. The first thing is to see what my people on the isle need. Starting with Ursula and her daughter. I will be fine. I can handle myself and will be back in two days.

~Love, Melody!

Dammit, Melody!!

"Mal!! Wake up, we have a huge problem!" I shout, running over and shaking her.

"What? Did my mom escape and is no longer a lizard??" She sits up quickly. I hold back a laugh and shake my head.

"Melody went to the isle! Alone..." I trail off, and she sits there for a second letting what I just said sink in. "AndshetookyourspellbookandisgoingtotalktoUrsulaandUma!" I say really quickly, and her eyes start to glow bright green. She shuts her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"E, you need to slow down and say that again because if I heard you correctly, you said that Melody went to the isle and she took my spellbook and will get herself killed! We have to tell Ben" I nod, and she starts freaking out.

"Come on, M, let's go find Ben" we grab our purses and go to Ben's office.

Melody's POV:

It's kind of sad how broken this place is. There are so many people and children on the streets. They say they don't care, but I know they do deep down.
