Captured

Chapter 3

Evie's POV:

As the sunlight slowly invade our room, my eyes flutter open. I look at my alarm, and it says 4:45 am. It's 15 minutes before my alarm goes off, but I have things I need to do before we go to classes. I get up, change and get ready for the day. I know what you're all thinking. By the time I get done getting prepared, classes will be starting. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get ready without getting distractions. I need to finish a dress before classes. I told this girl that her dress would be completed today and I can't do it later because Ben is having me watch Melody. I feel like I can only trust myself to watch this girl. She is a tricky girl and is very good at getting her way but not with me. Mal used to try and get so many things by me, and it never worked.

As the dress finally looks complete, Mel wakes up, and it is now 7 am. Classes start in 30 minutes. "Good morning", she mumbles and gets out of bed "Do you need the shower, Evie?"

"good morning to you too. Go ahead and get in. I am ready; I've been up for a while. Also, please hurry. Classes start in 30 minutes." she nods, walking into the powder room.

"M, it's time to get up. Ben will be here to get you in 25 minutes." she groans and falls out of her bed. She mumbles something I couldn't understand and gets up and ready.

20 MINUTES LATER

Melody comes out of the bathroom fully dressed and ready for the day. "dang Mel, you look great", Mal says, and Mel rolls her eyes and pulls her curly hair up into a high ponytail, and that's when I notice.

"Hey Mel, where is your bracelet?" she stops and looks at me, but before she could say anything, someone who I am guessing to be Ben knocks on the door.

Mal walks towards the door. "don't move, Mel, Ben will want to talk to you." she says and opens the door and in walks Ben after a good morning kiss from Mal. I smile at the two of them and how cute they are together. Melody finishes her hair and slips away into the bathroom, and comes back out seconds later with her bracelet on her wrist. She looks at me and shows me, and I nod in approval.

"Good morning ladies", Ben greets us "how was your first night in the new room?" he looks at Mel, and she ignores him so, he looks at me. "It was great, Ben, thank you" He smiles and leaves with Mal seeing that Melody wouldn't talk to him.

"come on, we're going to be late" she looks at me and walks out of the room with her bag. Excellent the silent treatment. I follow quickly behind to keep up.

MELODY'S POV:

Wow, I have never hated my friends more than I do now. I have no privacy. The tower is sounding more relaxing by the minute. This day is going to shit already. I stomp into the classroom and sit in my typical seat. Evie sits next to me and l just lay my head on my desk.

As the day goes on, Evie and Mal switch places multiple times, taking turns watching  me during class. Right now, we were in a rules class, aka rules of the royalty. "excuse me, fairy Godmother?"

she stops talking, and all eyes are now on me "yes, Melody?"

"Hi, yes, sorry for interrupting. May I go to the powder room?" Fairy Godmother nods and continues to teach the explicit rules of royalty 101. I leave my bag and walk quickly out of the room. "Fairy Godmother, may I go too?" Mal asks soon as I exit the room. I am guessing she is denied because she never came out. I turn a corner halfway to the powder room to run into someone. "and where do you think you're going?" Jay asks; I roll my eyes. "Can a princess not get any privacy??" I almost shout at him. "tell me this, was it Mal or Evie who texted you?" He looks taken back slightly by my harsh tone. "tell me where you're going, and I'll tell you," he says back with sass. "I am going to the powder room to pee. Can I no longer pee in peace either now? Wow" pushing past him, I enter the powder room. I sit on the couch and just close my eyes, thinking.
