Evie's POV:
"Hello? How's it going, E?" She asks calmly.

"No time for questions, Harry. Put his mark on her, and I need you over here now! Bring your spellbook!" Mal hangs up, and as soon as she does, there's a knock on the door, and Melody walks out in her long fluffy robe.

"Who is it?" She asks through the door. No answer. I step forward to look through the peephole, and Mel stops me in my tracks. "I'll ask one more time before I call my guard; who are you?" No answer again. She walks to her phone, dials a number, and then puts the phone to her ear.

She looks confused and removes the phone from her ear. "That's weird. My call was disconnected. Evie, try your phone, please call King Ben, please tell him I need three guards at my door" I nod and do as she asks, knowing she is getting scared. She sits on her bed, and there's another knock as she does.

"Mel, my call was disconnected too! Stay away from the door." I say quietly. She nods and takes her tv remote and turns it on, and to my surprise, it's a camera monitor of all of the entryways to get into her room. She turns it to the front door to see no one is there.

"Melody, it's going to be okay. Just breathe" I sit next to her after locking and checking every window and door in and out of this place.

She starts to shake uncontrollably, and her breathing is unstable. She's having a panic attack. I know these all too well. "Mel lay down. I'll get you a warm towel for your head and some water, but you need to lay down." She does, and I cover her with a weighted blanket. I come back with the warm towel, and she is asleep. I place the cup of water on her bedside table and a warm towel on her forehead. There's another knock roughly 15 minutes after the last. Melody is fast asleep, so I flip through the different cameras and see that it's Mal. I sighed in relief and let her in quickly.

"Mal, thank God for your here!" Pulling her into the room quickly, I shut the door.

"Woah, Evie, are you okay?" I nod

"I am fine, but look at this." I walk over to Melody and carefully pull down her rob to show the giant hook on her back. She gasps, putting a hand over her mouth.

"Don't worry, and I know a spell that can fix, well hide it. It will only last for a few days, and if she jumped into the water, it would wear off, so tonight, we cannot let her swim in front of anyone." She explains, and I nod my head.

"Also, something weird is happening, Mal. Before you came, someone was knocking on the door, but when you look at the monitors, no one was there, and neither of our phones could make outgoing texts or calls."

"That's odd but, I will put a protective barrier around her room so only someone we allow in will enter."

She grabs her spellbook and does her barrier spell around the room. She then walks over to Melody, who is thankfully still sleeping soundly and makes her mark disappear.

"Hey Mel, wake up, babe. We need to start getting you ready for your cotillion." She stirs in her sleep and slowly sits up after about 5 minutes.

"Did anything else happen while I was sleeping?" Mal and I shake our heads no.

"Nothing bad, but I put a barrier spell on your room just in case and a masking spell on the mark on your back, but it isn't permanent. If it gets wet, it will vanish, and it wears off in 2 days. I wish I could make it disappear altogether." Melody sighs but nods understandingly.

"Why does it have to be water? I love the water and it's my 2nd home. But I understand and am very grateful for your help" with that being said, she leaves and goes into the en-suite, closing the door behind her. Mal and I look at each other.

"We should warn the guys," I say, and she nods and sends out a group message between her and me and the guys. We are updating them on everything that has happened since arriving home.

MELODY'S POV:
I put on a gorgeous gown that has ever been created for me, and it's stunning. I couldn't have asked for a better dress, but I feel so violated and uncomfortable in my skin. I know that a spell covers the mark, but I can still see it and feel it there without looking or touching it. After slipping into the gown, I go back out, and Evie zips me in. I then stand around on the stand and stay as still as possible as Evie goes to work on dress and last-minute dress fixes.

Staring blankly out the window, I don't even notice Mal asking me questions until her hands are waving around in my face.

"What? Oh, sorry, I zoned out" I smile slightly. Mal gives me a small smile and giggles.

"I was asking if you had a love interest at all?" She says, clearly trying to lighten up the mood. I look down, clearly blushing. Evie looks up at me and laughs.

"Oh my gosh, you do!! Who is it? Is it Jay?!" The mention of his name makes me blush even more. They both drop their jaws.

"I knew it would happen, Evie, you owe me $10", I laugh, shocked

"You made bets? Really?" I ask, faking being upset.

"Awe, Mel, we're sorry-" Mal starts, but I cut her off with a smirk

"That's okay. Jay owes me $20. We bet on who would win because we both knew you would make bets!" I giggle, my cheeks still bright red.

"You sly princess," Evie says, and we all laugh, and It feels real. I haven't laughed like this in a long time.

"Done!!" Evie announces excitedly!

Turning to the mirror, I am shocked at how much the dress is like what we sketched out a few months back. "Evie, it's great thank you so much! I don't know how I ended up with such amazing friends like the two of you and what I would do without guys! Sorry for giving you guys the silent treatment earlier on our way home. I do appreciate you both very much!" I smile, and we have a group hug. Then there's a knock at the door, and I tense up immediately, as do they.
