It was my birthday, all my friends wished me. Veer came towards me, " Meera", he started. I was filled with anger and never wanted to talk to him. I avoided him literally. "Happy Birthday Meera, wish you a great day and a year. Stay Happy". "How can I stay happy for what you have done to me Veer? What did that innocent Pappu do to you? Why have you brutally injured him to such an extent? You will pay for all these things..anyways thanks for your wishes", I left. I was happy till I met Veer. Pappu entered the class room and all my sad mood got changed. I think I started to get a different feel on Pappu..but i did not want to think anything on that. So left that as such. All of us went for a dinner that night. Pappu also accompanied our gang. He gifted me a white saree for that birthday. The first gift that he gave me..from our childhood days was that saree. I loved it so much. "Thanks Pappu..nice design..and white...you already know its my favourite color", I thanked Pappu with all blushing smile on my face. We planned to play a game after dinner. Obviously it was our all time favourite.."Truth or dare". So it was Pappu's turn to answer the question of Ranjith. " So Pappu, who is your girl friend? Be honest", Ranjith asked with fun. " what an easy question Ranjith, it was none other than ..our..Meera", Pappu winked seeing me. I was speechless. All others started laughing, " Pappu..Veer is not here..and Meera is safe ..so dont lie or get panic", Arjun added and mocked at him. " You are very playful Pappu..and still the same from our childhood", I concluded with a gentle smile on my face. We all went for a movie the very next day. Anju sat next to me. Pappu did not come for the movie. " So Meera, Do you think Pappu lied to Veer that you both are committed?". "Anju, you know us right? We are not in any kind of relationship that you think..Pappu dont have such kind of feelings on me and so am I Anju". " But I could sense some changes in you..and a little on Pappu too". "No No Anju..nothing like that..may be you see us that way with such a thought in you", I finished the conversation. That night I was sleepless "Meera..Is Anju right?...Do you have any sort of liking on Pappu..or does he? Are you in a mindset to take this relationship to the next level? Is this a little beyond friendship? If yes, will Pappu also have such a feeling for you?...omg Meera..no no ..no..stop thinking too much..Agree..that there is a liking for Pappu as he is your childhood friend..a special place in your heart..but nothing more than that...nothing Meera..nothing..stop all these things right here..dont think too much and over react..", I spoke to myself seeing the mirror, switched off the lights and slept well...
