(a/n: i'm back)

she was next on the list.

it was undoubted.

but he refused to take her. he just couldn't ruin what she had.

she had everything he didn't, was everything he wasn't and everything he could not become.

seeing her alive made him feel a spark of reason into his ghastly, miserable afterlife.

his afterlife as the undertaker.

the angel of death, as some might call him but his life was far from being an angel.

he had to kill, commit murders that he, himself, did not want to do - he was god's hitman.

the number of deaths god wanted to achieve through him was relentless. the list of unknowing souls was never-ending.

he's a thief of lives but he doesn't show any remorse, no matter how pathetic or perfect he sees they are.

but her life was too perfect.

it would be a shame to disperse it into havoc, he thought.

she was interesting so he saved her from numerous near-to-death experiences. he knew her time was up but he refused to let go.

he had fallen unto his knees for her.

but he killed those who came after her.

she was far too impeccable to die, as if she did not deserve death. it was funny to him because everyone deserves to die and eventually will in life.

her life was flawless, it wasn't his fault that he refused to disrupt it.

but maybe it is his fault?

his fault for hoping that one day, a merciless criminal like he would earn the affection of a carefree dove such as her.
