"what in heavens do you think you're doing?"
he looks back and sees one of the archangels behind him, "what?"
"are you seriously still defending that girl?"
"i don't know what you're talking about-"
"bullshit. everyone knows what you're doing, especially god. his disappointment is through the roof." the archangel walks closer to the angel of death.
"listen, youngho-"
"you better put more respect into my name." the archangel warns.
"well whatever." he said, "you shouldn't be here. i'm working."
youngho stares at him for a while, their eyes boring into eachother.
the archangel's pokerface suddenly turns into a deep frown.
"you are a huge disappointment." youngho tells him with sad eyes, "you really had become a murderer, haven't you? killing and harming innocent people for one girl who isn't even worth all this."
"she is." he corrects.
"no, she's not." youngho said, "why are you so blind? why can't you see that she's a human too and she makes mistakes? why do you consider her as perfect when she's really not?"
the archangel has had enough of this.
"she lies, and cheats. she snakes people and take advantage of their kindness but you seem to be attracted to her because of that." youngho explains, "in fact, you seem to ignore her imperfections as a human."
"is it because she reminds you of yourself before you became the guardian of death?" youngho presses on, "isn't that right, mark?"
he stays silent.
"when you were still on earth, you were a wild one. you almost had no control of yourself. you wasted your life away and you hated god with all your being. it's a good thing he gave you a chance, didn't he? or else you wouldn't have had such a comfortable spot in heaven right now."
"well, if you ask me, you aren't fit to be here since you're not even doing your job correctly." youngho mercilessly continues, "and this girl you've grown attached to.. she's awfully a lot like you when you were still alive. maybe she's even much worse than you."
"it's my fault, scold me. leave her alone." he said.
"but i can't. not when you're still in a delusion about her. should i name every single mistake she's done for you to finally open your eyes?"
the angel of death stays mum.
"alright then." youngho said.
