she turns off the television. she almost feels sympathetic for the man but she isn't. she shouldn't.

no person in this world deserves to be massacred but a killer needs to face real judgement of burning in the fire, down there, eternally.

she was so lucky that she had her schoolmate, yukhei, save her.

he watches her in silence.

it's been a week since the so-called incident.

her parents let her take a three-day rest from school after what happened.

he was pissed.

it was not fair that this yukhei takes all the credit for his work.

but he had no choice. yukhei was the only one closest to the situation.

yukhei did a major role though.

and it was because of his help (and muscles) that the rapist was punched out cold and was directly arrested to the police.

still, it was him who gave a signal to yukhei to take a shortcut.

thankfully, this ilsoong pig did not lay a hand on her except for her wrists.

he watches her get up from the couch and walk towards the kitchen.

she was preparing something.

he wonders who is it for since she never packs lunch for school.

"you shouldn't have, eunsol." yukhei rubs his neck at the food that was to be given to him.

i should've known, he sneers.

"nonsense. it's the least i could do." she gestured him to take the bento and he did.

"you really didn't have to but thanks." he said quietly, basking on her kindness.

"well, we're friends now, aren't we?"

"we are?"

"you kidding me? after what you've done for me last week, of course we're friends."

"yeah," he smiles, "i'd really like that."

they stand in silence.

"well, i should go now." she said.

he almost screams in relief.

"oh, right. thanks for the lunch again!"

"no problem!"

"are you free tomorrow?" he suddenly asked. quite boldly, in fact, that even she was surprised.

"i am." she stated eagerly.

"do you-" yukhei then coughed to hide his stammer and rephrase the question, "could we hang out or something? i just want to catch up after what happened that night."

"sure. after school tomorrow?"

"yeah, that sounds great!"

"i'll see you later, yukhei."

"see you later, eunsol." yukhei watches her walk away with a smile on his face.

he sighs.
