My Friend

Ring ring ring...
Suwa wakes up to her alarm clock yelling at her. She sits up rubbing her eyes and turns off her alarm.

Walking to her closet, she slowly opens the door. She runs her fingers along her clothes, choosing a red shirt and ripped jeans. She gets blue socks and adidas.

"Suwa, breakfast is ready," her sister yells from down stairs. Ever since her mother went to work in the mornings instead of nighttime, her sister had to make breakfast.

Suwa slowly walks down the stairs, dreading another day at school. All the bullies and people being all lovey dovey. The only thing you didn't dread was seeing Jia Hanyu, her school crush.

"Hey what's wrong?" Her sister asked walking towards her," do you have a fever?" She placed the back of her hand on her forehead,"you don't seem like you have a fever..." her sister has always been over protective. You could say kinda like a mom.

"I'm fine," she says pushing her sisters short skinny arm away from her forehead.

Her sister looked at her worriedly, but just shrugged it off," just eat and go to school. I packed your lunch it's on the island in the kitchen."

"Thank you," Suwa says grabbing a donut and shoving it in her mouth. She wasn't skinny, but also wouldn't be considered fat. She was just, fluffy.

Suwa walked out of the kitchen, grabbing her lunchbox. 'Another day of bullying' she thought to herself.

Her lunchbox was blue and had words on it that said 'Mom loves you baby bear' with a heart beside it.

A few months ago this bothered Suwa. Everybody made fun of her for that, but now it doesn't phase her. That's what Suwa missed the most, her mom calling her baby bear, but since she never sees her mother anymore, she could not call Suwa that anymore.

At this thought a tear rolled down her cheek, shimmering as it dropped to the floor. She wiped away the wet trail it left behind.

Looking at the clock she hurriedly ran out the door. 'I will just walk to school today' she thought.

"Sis want me to drive you?" Her sister asked walking out the door and locking it.

"No thank you!" She yelled back, running away from the house to her friend Xin Long's house. Her and Xin Long walked to school everyday until the two got to the last stop sign then he would walk ahead of her

Suwa arrived at his house, she saw he was waiting outside. Xin Long ran over to Suwa,"Hey Suwa, what's up?" Xin Long has a crush on her, but she made it clear that she like his best friend Jia Hanyu. So Xin Long acts like he doesn't like her and that he's embarrassed being with her at school.

"Nothing much. What did your Mom pack you for lunch," she asked looking at his grey lunchbox.

"Nothing much, just some leftovers from last night. Oh have you herd about the dance coming up?"

"Nope..." Suwa stopped and thought for a second," Hey you think I can walk in school with you, maybe you can introduce me to Hanyu," she said with a grin.

"Nope Sorry, we got dance practice in the mornings,"he lied. He didn't want Suwa to meet Hanyu. He knew she would fall even more in love with Hanyu and just use him to get to Hanyu. Xin Long wanted her all to himself.

"Oh okey, I see," she looked away from him and slowed down. She held her head low hoping Xin Long would end up saying yes, but he didn't.

"Come on, stop pouting. We aren't even at the last stop sign." Xin Long stopped and looked at her. Suwa slowly passed him,"come on how can I introduce you to him if we have dance practice and you have English? That's two different classes all the way on the other side from you." He tried cheering her up, which was kinda working,"maybe some time later?"

At that she lightened up,"Okey!" Suwa said excitingly and covering her mouth. Xin Long laughed at this, he thought it was cute.

At the last stop sign, Suwa stopped and waved at Xin Long before waiting until he was out of sight. Suwa was even more excited now.

She started hoping to the school. Arriving at the school she stopped, but before she could get to the doors a big group of kids ran past her. One girl with long blonde hair know as Kim Saehee knocked her down on purpose. With those kids was Jia Hanyu.

Hanyu looked at Suwa and frowned. He seemed like he was contemplating if he should help her up or not when Jeahee yelled after him," Hanyu! Come on we are going to be late!" She came back outside and saw him looking at Suwa .

"Why are you looking at this fatty? Did she hurt you? How dare she, let me teach her a lesson," she said as she headed Suwa's way.

"No, it's fine Jae," he said and grabbed her arm and pulled her into the school. Jaehee gave Suwa a quick 'stay away from my man' glare and followed Hanyu into the school.

Xin Long ran out of the school and to her," are you okey Suwa!?" He said panicked," did Jaehee push you?"

"I'm fine," she says as she stands up, ignoring his existence and pushing past him. Xin Long started at her confused.

Xin Long walked into the school after Suwa. "Kim Suwa!" He stomped after her. She turned around to face him, in which he could see she was crying. He ran to Suwa and hugged her. He could feel her tears soaking through his shirt. You gripped onto his sweatshirt.

"I-I'm Sorry Xin Long," she apologized between sniffles. She pulled away from the embrace.

"You didn't do anything wrong Suwa," he pulled his sleeve down and wiped her tears. "Do you need me to do anything?"

"I-" Suwa couldn't finish her sentence when Hanyu yelled after Xin Long and began heading his way. She saw him and ran off.
