Lance couldn't stop staring at those gorgeous eyes, that resembled a dark swirling universe of stars inside them.
He couldn't stop staring at the way their mouth curved up when they smiled,
and the tiniest of freckles littered right underneath their eyes.
The way their fingers always lingered on every surface they passed by.
The way their fingers were intertwined with his.
It made him sick just to think about how far they were.
myfaultmyfaulymyfaultmyfault-
He was the one that distanced them- created that stupid rivalry that ripped apart what could've been at least a friendship.
It was him that argued and argued and had to be right, how it was always him that had to win, to be the one on top-
When he was really the one crumbling down
down
down...
He stared and broke seeing how happy their smiles were.
Pure joy, a couple made for eachother.
It burned to breathe and to talk, but he still persisted.
"Hey, guys! Training is before dinner today, right? Okay, awesome, yeah, see you two later!"
The fake exhale of happiness was enough to slip right past them.
Invisible. Unmattering.
Mistakemistakemistakemistake-
But everyone knew that he was
Annoying
Pathetic
Disgusting
Weird
Fat
Unattractive
Scrawny
Faggo-He stopped his train of thought. It was wrong to be contradicting. But what would his friends think of him liking another boy? What about the other planets? What about his family?
That last question made him stop on the other side of his door, face dripping with sweat and a mixture of fear and shame making up his expression.

He sat at dinner, the feelings of earlier remaining but a mask of emotions that resembled his persona hid them all.
He talked and talked about chaotic road trips his family used to do every summer, and what other planets might be out there, a creative spirit it seemed. He knew his friends were only partially listening.
He also knew that his friends were occupied enough to notice that he had taken several glances toward the couple across the table, taking into account that Keith had moved seats. They were talking to themselves quietly- laughing and, Lance thought to himself bitterly, probably making inside jokes and flirting.
For a moment when he got up to put his plate away, he glanced over and had seen Keith and Shiro kissing. He felt pathetic and hurt seeing it- and when they stepped apart, both waved at Lance as he walked by.
And just like last time, he faked an incredibly realistic smile, too wide too be true- but not enough to notice.
As so he thought.
A/N: Heyyyy I'm not dead! Leave in the comments if I should change the ship from Sheith to something else since Shadam is cannon and they're basically brothers...
Anyway to be continued!!💜💜
