6. Tick tock says the clock

Ren yawns tiredly as she makes her way trough the crowded streets. How much more can she take of this? She was already in the gym at the crack of dawn. Her teenage body isn't made for waking that early.

Really, she can use all the sleep she can get. Next to training like a maniac, she is haunted by nightmares and when she shocks awake in the middle of the night, recent events are on her mind.

Something strange is going on with Yugi, she's pretty sure of it. So hopes that when something happens again, she is at least going to be able to witness it.

"Hey! Ren!" a voice calls, making her snap out of her thoughts. Glancing around, she looks into an alley where a long line has formed in front of a small shop. In that line stands Honda.

"What are you doing here?" she asks him when she reaches him. She notices him jumping from one foot to the other.

"Miho asked me to wait in line for her to buy an exclusive watch that's on sale." he explains, making Ren cross her arms and shake her head. That girl... "I really need to pee. Can you take my spot in the line for a minute? Please Ren?" he begs.

She can see his face turning red. "Alright." she sighs before blinking is surprise. He's already gone...

Ren blows the hair out of her face. Honda sure is taking his sweet time. She glances to the side, only to startle, "Yugi!"

"H-Hey Ren. What are you doing here? I didn't know you liked watches." he wonders, smiling innocently.

"I don't. Not particularly at least. Honda asked me to wait here in is spot while he went to go find a bathroom. In turn, he was standing here for Miho. But if he takes any longer, I'll be forced to buy that watch for her. She better pay me back quickly. That silly watch is going to cost all of my allowance." Ren grumbles, moving forward with the line.

"I see. Erm... Do you mind if I keep you company?" he asks shyly, making her shake her head. "No, I don't mind. If you don't mind being bored out of your skull by standing here." she answers.

He quickly laughs it off. "I'm sure it won't be that bad if we stand together." he says, before blushing. Why did he have to say something so sappy? He notices her glancing at him with a raised brow before smiling a quick smile and turning back to the front as the line moves again.

Their turn came before Honda returned. "You kids are lucky." the seller tells them before ushering the others in line off. "This is the last one."

"That's lucky alright. After waiting for so long, I'd hate to have left empty handed." Ren states, pulling out her wallet and counting out the money. "Here you go."

"Thank you. Here is your watch." the seller says, laying out the box. But before they can take it, a hand slams down on it. "I'll be taking this one."

Yugi and Ren look up at the guy. He is pierced all over and is wearing round reflective glasses. Ren tunes the man out when he starts to rant about his collection.

"Hey, that's nice and all but this one is already paid for. Maybe you can buy it from someone else second hand?" she suggests, making his brow twitch.

Ren quickly holds up her hands in defense as he gets in her face. "You don't understand at all do you?" he seethes.

Before he can do anything, a hand grabs him by the shoulder. It's Honda. "I don't know anything about limited edition stuff or collectors, but you still have to follow the rules."

"What?" the guy growls, getting into a staredown with the beautification member. It is only when he hears the seller calling the police that he backs away.
