"You're looking too serious." Anzu scolds, pinching Ren's cheeks to get some color into them.
"What's the deal? That hurts!" Ren complains, struggling. "Yugi! Help!" she calls pitifully to the boy who stands there scratching his neck awkwardly. He knows better to get in-between Anzu and her goals.
"We need more charm offensive Ren, or we're never going to get enough signatures." Anzu complains. "Now smile and try to look cute."
Ren sighs before pulling out her best smile, though it's as fake as can be. This mission she and Anzu are on is quite tiring and not easy at all. Someone has been pulling down their posters or ruining them in other ways.
Other things have been happening too. It's as everything and everyone is against them, even some of the teachers. They are really giving them a hard time.
"How's it going?" miss Chono asks, as she strides up to them. She takes the clipboard from Anzu, "You haven't gotten much at all." she muses.
"We just got started." Anzu counters retrieving the clipboard from their teacher.
"I wonder if you'll get anymore." miss Chono smiles sardonically before making her way off.
"Miss Chono is a bit of a bully, isn't she?" Ren sighs. "She's enjoying this a little too much. I can tell." she says, looking after the teacher with narrowed eyes. Yugi too looks a little worried.
"You guys!" Miho calls, gaining their attention as she walks up to them. "I heard a rumor." she states, looking distraught. "A rumor? What about?" Anzu wonders.
Miho nods. "I heard, if you sign up for your petition you'll get a bad rep with the teachers." she explains, making their eyes widen in surprise.
"What? Where did that come from?" Ren questions. Miho shrugs, not knowing the origins.
"It doesn't matter." Anzu starts. "If we gather enough signatures, the teachers too will surely rethink the rules." she says optimistically. "But for now let's go home. It's getting late."

The next morning, Ren, Anzu and Yugi were standing at the entrance, ready to ask the incoming students for their signatures. But it seems very few are interested. They are actually surprised when three male students come to a halt in front of them.
"Oh? Are you going to sign?" Anzu asks happily, but Ren narrows her eyes, seeing the looks on their faces. These guys are up to no good.
"Who wants to do that?" the one with longer hair ask before his orange-haired friend butts in, "The rules are fine as they are."
"No one will sign such a thing." the bigger one of the three states. "Exactly, it's useless. The teachers will just hate you." the first one adds.
Ren scoffs. "You made your point. If you don't want to sign, that's fine, but don't bother us." she tells them before her eyes widen in surprise as the orange-haired guy snatches her clipboard from her hands.
"Look! You haven't got many at all!" he laughs, looking over the meager list of names. Ren bristles. "Give that back!" she orders, but he only holds it out of her reach.
"Cut it out! Give that ba-..." Yugi tries to intervene, only to get knocked back. "Yugi!" Anzu calls. Ren pauses at her shout, looking worried.
The guy takes this chance to take the papers and rips them up before their eyes, in one clean tear. Before the guy knows it, a certain blonde dives on top of him, having witnessed everything.
"Jounouchi, stop! You'll get in trouble!" Ren warns him, but the hothead won't listen and socks the guy in his face.
