Notes: I alternate between the term Shifu and Master depending on the feeling--mostly because I'm unsure and indecisive. Anyways, enjoy.

"Wang Shifu... Wang Shifu... Wake up... Wake.. up!"
Wang Yunfan woke up abruptly from his not so peaceful slumber. His body lay flat on the bed as he felt cold sweat lining down his forehead. A blaring headache accompanied his sudden feeling of drowsiness. At the moment, he just wanted to go back to sleep. Not being sober enough, he replied to the voice subconsciously in a languid voice.
"Five more minutes..."
His left hand covered his eyes to completely shield off any light, since any traces of illumination only makes his headaches worse.
"Merciful Buddha! Don't give up yet shifu! I'll get Gu-Shishu for you!" The high pitched voice suddenly became worried and soon after small footsteps could be heard, walking further away from his room.
Then finally, there was silence once more. With that, Wang Yunfan quickly went back to sleep to recover.
He didn't know how long time had passed, but when he woke up, he was met with the same scene in front of him, albeit he's more sober now to actually realize what it is. Above him where he lay was not the usual white ceiling of his home. His apartment's dingy LED lights were also not present. Instead, he found a beautifully crafted piece of wood and slightly further in the front were transparent silk functioning as curtains. It was really pretty. He really could have appreciated the scene for some time if it weren't for the stranger next to him who was holding his wrist.
...
???
Wang Yunfan quickly sat up in surprise and took back his hand from the man before scrutinizing him. The man seemed to be in his early thirties. He had his hair up in a bun and wore simple green robes. From him, fragrance of medicinal herbs prodded Wang Yunfan's nostrils and had somewhat of a calming effect. But a contrast to the calming smell was the offended scowl the man had just put up.
"Wang Shidi, did you hit your head last night? Or did you cultivate your soul away?" He snorted as he placed his hands on his hips.
Wang Shidi? Are you talking to me? Why are you wearing robes? Where is this?
Countless of questions keep coming up in his mind as his panic rose, however his facial expression seemed to cool down instead, giving the impression of aloofness.
"See? Wang Shifu's acting weird." The child next to him spoke.
It was a little girl, most likely around eleven or twelve. She wore a light magenta robe and had cute twin buns on either side of her head. Both of these people gave the aura of ancientness and with Wang Yunfan just woken up, he suddenly felt incredibly disoriented. Slowly he closed his eyes back again to recall what had happened. As he remembered, he had just come home from the award ceremony and then...
That happened.
Flashes of a pair of red and vicious eyes flooded back into his memories. The coldness, he could almost feel it again.
"Wang Shidi... Wang Yunfan!"
With his name being called, Wang Yunfan snapped back into reality. He turned his head towards the man quietly and stared at him as if that would bring to him answers.
"Gu Shishu... Will Wang Shifu be okay? How is he?" The little girl asked the man.
'Gu Shishu' nodded solemnly. "Yes. I found no threatening problems, but last night's tribulation was concerning."
