"Wang Shifu, please? Can I please go with them?"
"Mo Chou, you're not old enough to go."
"But... but...I'm almost old enough..."
"But not quite there yet, am I correct?"

A triumphant smile was plastered across the peak lord's face as he led his disciples down. Not only did he manage to resist Mo Chou's famous puppy eyes and persuasive skills, but he also saved her from a life threatening event!
Well, it's not like he actually saved her with his own two hands, but what he did before would affect the greater future; and that is to avoid as much damage as possible! And plus, there wasn't too much bonding points with Mo Chou in that chapter, since she was mostly out cold while the main character proceeds to beat the crap out of those poor, unsuspecting demon beasts.
Originally, the A-hole Wang Yunfan let her in the Beast Mountain with the excuse that she's almost twelve. He even went to the length of altering the age restriction spells and bringing in some of the other younger disciples. It is not revealed why he did that, but doing so only adds to the collateral damage taken by the fodder characters and member of the harem. Wang Yunfan would definitely want to avoid that if he valued his life.
The mountains are really dangerous ah... What if they slip and die? Will that be counted as my fault as well?—Wang Yunfan thought as they approached the foot of the mountain.
The back mountain of the peak, which is called Beast Mountain wasn't very far off. If one walked, it would only take about an hour and even faster by sword. However these children have yet to 'find' their true swords let alone fly them. So Wang Yunfan and his disciples would have to resort to walking. This could be dangerous, considering that it would only take less than an hour for beasts to raid the peak. Due to that possible threat, the elders and peak masters created restrictions, with different areas for each beast's levels and would regularly check them to make sure they haven't weakened. If the restrictions weakened, they would immediately be renewed.
However, that information wasn't written in the original novel and Wang Yunfan had to find it out himself. As he left with his disciples, he had ever so coincidentally run into Gu Bolin, who had reminded him to check the restrictions while he's at it. After that, the man hastily left. Apparently the Lanhua peak master often traveled out of the peak, as informed by one of his disciples. For exactly what he didn't know, but he was quite curious. After all, not many things are told about the side characters, especially not their private lives or what they do in the countless time skips he often uses for convenience.
The Lianhua peak master and his disciples gathered in the foot of the mountain. Already, they could see the ancient symbols on the trees which form the restrictions. Some of the students were clearly in awe; after all, for those who had just learned ancient characters, such an intricate spell would definitely wow these inexperienced children. Even the peak lord tried his best to curb his amazement.
Wang Yunfan didn't want to spoil the high spirits of the children, so he let them observe; also for educational purposes of course.
Soon enough, the younger ones started to swarm by the trees. Their eyes all glued to the spell formed on it. Caught in amazement, one of the disciples reached out their hand to have a touch, but before he did, a throat clearing sound stopped him in his tracks. The sound attracted all of the disciples' attention, even the ones chatting, for it belonged to their ferocious, A-hole master.
