Being born into a life of crime is most definitely not ideal, but that's how Min Yoongi was. His father was a mob boss and his mother his right hand. He had a wonderful life though. His mother taught him piano as well as things like how to handle weapons and how to hack.
No one besides his father and mother had ever seen Yoongi's face. It was of deep importance to his father that his one and only son after his oldest had been shot and killed by some subordinates, was kept hidden. Min Yoongi was 16 when he saw a girl from outside of his window. She was petite, clearly younger than him, but she was so beautiful.
Yoongi jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see his mother behind him. She smiled down at her young son.
"That's Eun-Kyung. Her father works with yours. Unlike you, she's not being trained to navigate this world. Her dad is going to send her to Seoul so she can pursue music." Yoongi's mom spoke fondly about the girl.
"H-how old is she?" They looked out the window at the girl who was playing in the freshly fallen snow in the courtyard. She was constructing small snowmen who were falling as soon as she turned her back.
"She's about 12, dear," His mother draped her arm over his shoulders, "She won't be back in Daegu unless she comes to visit. Once spring comes she'll be gone," Yoongi stared at the younger girl as she ran around. She was so innocent and pure, "Come, it's time for your piano lessons."
Yoongi hesitantly removed himself from the window sill. He slowly left the window where below the girl was playing unaware of the darkness that lurked around her.
Yoongi spent the next few winters watching the courtyard for signs of the girl but to no avail. The snow in the courtyard remained untouched aside from the occasional footprint. The clock rang noon and Yoongi detaches himself from the window sill. Heading to the music room, where his mother already sat at the piano. He had no need for lessons anymore but his mother enjoyed teaching him so he allowed it.
They were almost through the whole of Fur Elise before a sudden gunshot rang out. Yoongi sat frozen as the ivory keys were spattered with blood. His mother's body slumped forward, smashing onto the keys.
The boy's body went into autopilot as he covered his face and made his way to the secret passageway. The gunman, clearly inexperienced, was fighting with reloading his weapon.
"Run, you little bitch! You can't go anywhere that I won't find you. Both your parents fell before me, nothing can stop me."
Yoongi did just that. He ran. He caught a train to Seoul and left his hometown behind. He'd find his own little niche. Maybe he could make music and leave this life behind.
The underground wasn't a life you could just leave once you were in, Yoongi found out. He had found his own group. There were only two when he found them but they had quickly grown to seven. They operated out of the youngest's tattoo shop, their living quarters above the shop.
Yoongi shoved the man against the wall. He was skipping out on selling his product. They'd lost valuable income. A bandana covered most of his face. His cap pulled down low to sheiks his eyes. The rest of his looks were disguised by the darkness that shrouded the city.
"Look," Yoongi growled at the man pinned to the wall, "You knew the stakes. The product or your life. And you've chosen to give us your-"
Yoongi was cut off by the sound of catcalling. He turned his head and immediately felt a fire in his heart. The girl that played in the courtyard. She was stumbling about the alley. A paper bag fisted in her hand, the neck of a bottle poking out. She brought the bottle to her lips and took a long swig from it. Men, older than Yoongi himself, were following behind her.
"Hey, baby," One slurred, "Why don't you come home with me? I can show you a good time."
Yoongi looked back and forth between the man pinned to the wall and the beautiful yet wasted girl."Consider yourself lucky. Don't show yourself around here again." He let the man go who immediately ran off. Yoongi quickly made his way to the girl, "Babe, what are you doing out here? I said I'd meet you on the corner." He wrapped his arms around her and watched the men closely. They almost immediately backed off. Yoongi carefully led the drunk girl to the shop and up to his apartment.
"Yoongi," Jin spoke from the couch. The others looked toward him too, "Who is that and why is she here? That's dangerous, you know."
"She's wasted and was being followed. She just needs a place to stay. She'll be gone tomorrow morning." Yoongi walked her to his room and laid her on the bed. Wondering how this could possibly be the same girl who played in the snow.
Three years later and Yoongi was still laying her in bed, but this time with his lips attached to hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her fingers in his hair. Yoongi pulled back to stare at his beautiful baby.
A gummy smile painted his features. He was so soft for her. He buried his face in her neck leaving soft kisses all over the skin. Sucking lightly on her collarbone eliciting a soft moan from her lips.
She carefully tugged on her hair. This made him raise his head and she captured her fiancé's lips in a hungry kiss.
"God," She mumbled against his lips, "I love you so much, Min Yoongi."
He chuckled slightly. " I love you so much too, Future Mrs. Min Eun-Kyung." He ghosted his lips over her sapphire and diamond ring.
The ring
