I was checking myself out on my floor-length mirror on my wall next to my window.
Aleeah had dressed me in black jeans and a gray v-neck that she dug out from the back of my closet. Both of which were very tight and very uncomfortable.
I told Aleeah I was uncomfortable and she told me to shut up and that I looked great.
Easy for her to say, she was wearing black leggings and a black skater dress that looked really comfy. She also had on fuzzy socks that she bought when she made me go shopping with her last week."This is ridiculous, Lee. I look like I'm trying too damn hard."
She was sniffing all my colognes that were on top of my dresser.
"You don't! Hey, this one smells good."
She walked over to me and started spraying my neck with my cologne that my father bought me.
"Jesus!" I started coughing, "Okay are you done now?"
"Yes! Oh, look at you. You gorgeous little man."
She tucked in my shirt at the front which I was feeling weird about because she was a bit too close to my dick.
"French tuck," she had said, "Like Tan says on Queer Eye."
"You're obsessed,"
"And you're a bad gay!"
"The fuck? Really?"
We bickered for a minute when my phone rang again. I was sort of worried it'd be Franco calling to tell us that he won't be coming over anymore which would be really disappointing.
But no, it was my mom."Hello?" I said when I picked up.
"Robin, your father and I are stuck at a meeting and we have to go to dinner after. Just order in please, baby. We'll be home at midnight."
"Okay," was all I said.
She hung up.
This was actually pretty normal. And honestly I was pretty fucking thrilled so now my mom won't say anything embarrassing in front of Franco.
"Was that Mama Perez?" Aleeah said. She was heading down the stairs and I was trailing behind her.
"Yeah. Her and my dad won't be home till midnight."
"Dude that's great, actually."
We headed our way into my kitchen and Aleeah had taken out some popcorn from the top cabinet. I was on my phone scrolling through Netflix to find options for our movie night since we can connect Netflix onto our screen in the home theatre.
"The Kissing Booth?" I asked.
"Ew, no," Aleeah said.
"Okay, um, how about we watch Black Mirror? It's basically like watching a movie."
Aleeah pondered at the idea and grinned.
"Perfect," she said.
The popcorn had finished popping and Aleeah poured it into a blue plastic bowl.
While she was pouring she looked at me, my elbows on the kitchen island and my hands in my face."What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing. I just, I don't know, I feel weird."
"Why, though?"
"I'm not that good at talking with people, dude. Let alone cute guys."
She looked at me weird.
"Robin. You can't...let that idea get in your head. You're cool, you're funny, and hella charming."
