"Hey, Nina. Do me a favor and shut your mouth up about Jeff before I jam your own knife down your throat."
"Augh, that's so RUDE, (Y/N)!"
You sigh and begin to walk faster, putting a bit of distance between you and the others. You had no idea why Slenderman had to have Nina come along with you and the other proxies on this patrol, but there was no use in arguing with your bosses' decisions.
"I need pictures of this. Jeffy would think It's amazing that I'm working beside Slendy's minions, wouldn't he?" Nina remarked, poking at Hoodie's camera. "Don't touch that Nina. If you want pictures, use your own phone and leave my stuff alone."
"I forgot it at home."
"Too bad, so sad."
Nina pouted and crossed her arms; she then continued after a while to nag Hoodie for his camera. Masky gave an annoyed sigh and kept pace beside you and Toby, not wanting to be anywhere near Nina to have to deal with her.
"I get it that she needs to get out after being inactive for so long," He whispered, "but why did Slender have to arrange her time with ours?"
"That's what I want to know," You mutter, rolling your eyes. You turn and look over at Toby who was being unusually quiet; he was busy fiddling with his fingers and looking around the place as if he was nervous.
"Is Rogers alive in there? Hello, Toby?" Masky exclaimed, waving a hand in front of Toby's face as Toby was then only staring straight forwards.
Toby phased and shook his head, he then growled, turning to glance at Masky.
"Yeah, what do you want-t?""You haven't said anything since we've left the mansion. What's up with you tonight?"
"Nothing...n-nothings up. I'm fine. I just don't feel like talking."
"Oh, that's a first!"
You look a bit concerned as you watch Toby return to looking at the ground, and you gently place a hand on his shoulder, "You okay, (Nickname for Toby)?"
He looked up a bit and slightly nodded his head, saying nothing at the while. You pat his back and offer to walk beside him while the others stay up ahead. Youre surprised by how suddenly he rapidly agrees to the idea, and the two of you slow down a bit to let the others gain some distance.
Once Hoodie, Masky, and Nina were far off, and you could only faintly hear the sounds of Nina's whines, you were able to catch Toby's attention.
"I'm a bit unsettled right now, and on high alert," He began, running his hands along the handles of his hatchets. "I had a vision...an e-encounter with Zalgo of some sort...something bad's gonna h-happen while we're out here."
"Just Great..." You utter, recalling that one time you first encountered Zalgo in the vortex when you were still a newbie pasta. "When did you get this vision and what exactly happened in it?"
"It was right before we came out on this patrol. I don't know I....I sort of b-blacked out a bit a-and I saw Zalgo standing near me-well more of some sort of shadow of Zalgo-and you were there too, (Y-Y/N)."
"....I was, Huh...?"
"Yeah...I don't know what went on or what really happened, b-but I did see th-that shadowy version of Zalgo walk right up to you. And then, he held out his hand to you, corrupting you o-or something with this strange essence. Once it disappeared in you, you slowly turned to me and g-gave me th-this strange...dark look..."
".....Heh?"
"I know I know, it s-sounds stupid and weird, but it's really worrying me. It's a heavy premonition I have and..."
