(Mike Pov)
i walked over to where y/n and will were dancing. the closer i got to them, the more detail i could take out of y/n's smile. it was a beautiful smile. perfectly painted across her face. but that smile fades once i grabbed her arm and pulled her away from her dancing parter. i walked to the edge of the dancing area before she squirmed out of my grasp.
"what the hell, Mike?" she asked, annoyingly.
Will stepped behind her.
"you can't just do that. i was already dancing with Will! you were dancing with Eleven!"
"i wasn't dancing with the right girl for me,
y/n." i said, "i should've been dancing with you."
she scoffed, but for a second i thought i saw a slightest bit of a blush, "..th-thats so selfish! you can't just go around taking people's dancing partners because you didn't like the first!"
"no, y/n. i-it's not like tha-"
before i could finish, she scoffed again and walked out of the gym.
Will have me a look and followed her.
(Your Pov)
i got home and kicked my shoes off. i hopped onto my bed and just sat there, thinking about what had just happened.
Mike really liked me like that? why?
*tap tap*
i didn't even bother to look over at the window, i already know who was there.
"go away, Mike."
he paused, then tapped again.
i sighed and then gave in, walking over to the window, i opened it.
"what."
"can we please talk?"
"ohmygod" i whispered under my breath, "come in"
he gladly stepped inside and sat in one of the chairs while i took my spot on my bed.
"so." i told him, "what is it?"
"look, so, i really really like you. it's just i didn't really notice it...? i guess? i get it, it was selfish for me to drag you away when you were having fun..."
i nodded, "ppf. yeah."
"...i just really like you. i think you're the most amazing girl, not Eleven, you. i lately have had my head in the clouds and i didn't know how to... show my love for you.... i guess."
" 'show my love for you'?" i repeated, "you love me?"
Mike nodded, "y-yeah. of course."
we both blushed.
"d-do you wanna stay the night?"
"sure"
