Chapter 25

Stephanie's POV

I woke up and tried to move, but there was this huge weight on me. All of last night's memories hit me. I submitted to him, he finally got what he wanted. But moreover we had 2 parties to attend today so my mouth just had to be in check. I picked his hand of me and prayed he wouldn't get up. He stirred a bit but wasn't fully awake. I quickly brushed my teeth and went down to make breakfast for the both of us. If I was going to gain back his trust to letting me talk to my siblings this is the least I could do. I made his favourite pancakes with a drizzle of maple syrup and loaded with blueberries and whipped cream on top. I carried his plate up to him and gently woke him up. He had a smile on his face which was rare, this means he'll actually be nice today. He sat up straight and I placed the plate in his lap. He looked pleased, I took that opportunity to slip away, shower and get dressed for the day. I sat in the tub and let the hot water sting my body, it relaxed me. After just lying in the tub I quickly scrubbed myself off and headed out in my robe.

I saw Ralph sitting on the bed typing away on his phone. "We'll be leaving in half an hour wear something elegant."His voice startling me. He kept typing in his phone. I walked to my closet and pulled out a nice navy blue long dress so it would cover my bruises. It had would show a lot of my cleavage so I decided to ask Ralph for his opinion. "Is this dress fine for the occasion?" I asked keeping my voice from cracking. I was scared of angering him. He looked up slowly and noises his head in approval, I didn't waste time and k got changed I to the dress. I which applied heavy concealer, but light amount of blush and eyeshadow. I walked out if the bathroom to see him wearing a royal blue suit, with a grey tie. I decided to wear silver heals matching his tie.

The car ride was completely silent. Which was rare but it was comforting to me. We reached a really fancy hotel like a gentle man Ralph opened my door and helped me out of the car. He slid his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "You better behave well this is an business party this where my sister Proses me to be on the board of directors. So you better not fuck this up or pray to goddamn God that I don't rip you to shreds and make your beloved sister watch it happen. Am I clear?" I nodded and he tightened his grip around me. "Yes sir I understand" I answered but still his grip didn't loosen. So I let it be.

He introduced me to a couple of board members and I just smiled why they discussed their business. It really did bore me until I saw this really dashing face. He must be in his early 20s brown hair, tall, muscular but not too much of an gym addict, blue eyes and I must a a very sharp jawline. He walked straight towards me. Shit if I spoke to him Ralph would ruin me. What should I do?! Before so could think of anything, he walked up to us and introduced himself,"Hi I am Mr Smith's son, Ethan" Ralph looked so impressed he extended his hand for a handshake which was so rare" This is my girlfriend Stephanie and I'm " before he could complete Ethan stopped him," I know who you are. You're Ashley's brother right?" "Yes, yes I am" wow that's weird I've never heard him talk like ever. These 2 also started talking about business. Great! Why does everyone talk about the same thing. I get it's a business party but there is so much more you could talk about.

There was a toast going to be held any minute, Ashely walked in front of the hall with a champagne glass. Soon there were Stuarts serving champagne glasses all over the hall. Oh yes! Finally this would be done with. (Pic of Ashley on the top^)

She started her speech whichever as extremely long and boring. With that he was part of the board of directors. Great he'll have more work so less time to annoy the shit out me nice.

Everyone came around to congratulate us and then finally his sister came up to us. Honestly I was a bit scared if her we haven't rest officially met but still. "So Ralph would you please to introduce this beautiful lady to me?" She asked calmly. Something didn't feel right,"Um.. Stephanie is.. uh... my sister... Um... " Before he could complete his sister introduced her self,"I'm Ashley Ralph's older sister." I never imagined Ralph to be scared of his sister. "Ralph go meet the board members I would like to talk to Stephanie alone," he nodded and walked away. I never thought I would see him take orders from anyone. Maybe I could ask his sister for help. She'll help me get away from him. "Steph, I hope you don't mind me calling you that." I shook my head. "I know what Ralph has been doing to you and honestly I was the one who told him to do that after you sent him to jail. But I thought you were just framing him. I then went through his phone and saw all the previous messages etc. The thing is I've always been pampered when our parents were there. But I never in my life have pampered Ralph. He's always had to work his way through life, he's been taking out his frustration on you and that's wrong cause attempted rape isn't ok." She knew he tried to rape me. She gave him those ideas? What the fucking hell. "So you have him the ideas?" I blurted out. "No obviously not. Being a woman I know how it is I would never tell him what to do I just told him to make you feel bad not to put on suicidal mode." Wait how did she know that?! I looked at her shocked "Yes I know you are in depression and suicidal." Woah. My life just took an entire turn. "If you know what he's doing why don't you stop him?" "Because I can't." "Why not ?" "I can't tell you but If you ever do need protection you can always count on me I'm like a sister to you ok?" I just nodded and she pulled me into a hug. Ok this is just weird.
"I can actually count on you right? You won't back stab me right?" " I might have the same blood as my brother but I am very different from him." We both exchanged smiles and she walked to attend to other guests. Ralph walked back to me. We both sat down to eat lunch on the same table as Ethan. It wasn't simple not to drool but I managed. "So Steph do you want to go out for coffee or lunch sometime?" I felt Ralph's hand grab my thigh and him squeeze it really hard. It took all the energy in me not to scream. "Ethan are you in a relationship?" Ralph asked being blunt. "Yes I am." Before Ralph could say anything I spoke up,"That's great then all 4 of us could do dinner sometime what say Ralph?" I turned to look at him. He was pleased with my answer,"Ya, sure that's a great idea Steph." He said still squeezing my thigh. Shortly we finished eating and we said our goodbyes to everyone. We donate reached Ashley to say bye. She spole really harshly to Ralph," Listen up I've made you a part of the board of directors now if you make me look like shit I'll make sure you remember who the fuck the boss is you get me?" He bowed his head in submission and nodded. Then Ashley turned to me and hugged me and whispered in my ear,"Ever need anything from hesitate to come into my room since you stay at our place only."

After that we walked out and sat in our car and headed home. I was so happy to go back home. Little did I know all the surprises waiting for me there.
