The day after my short phone call with Josh ended faster than I had anticipated. The producers for X-Men only booked us two interviews that day, so by the afternoon, I was done working. I spent the whole day in my hotel room watching television and ordering food from room service. Today is my last day and then later tonight, I'll be flying over to Berlin to start shooting with my favorite cast again.
My prep team has dolled me up for one last interview with Nicholas. I don't mind them putting us together, but what bothers me is that they're not doing it for the sake of the movie, they're doing it for the sake of us previously being a real couple. I guess word hadn't gotten out about our split, and there wasn't enough time for a schedule change in the interview.
"Are you ready?" My stylist asks.
"Yeah, I'm good." I say tucking a piece of hair behind my ear and looking at myself once in the mirror. I take a deep breath and stand from my chair. I'm pointed to the small set and seated next to an empty chair where Nicholas will sit. The more I wait, the more I wish I was in Berlin. I can't wait to get off the plane and see Josh waiting for me. I never thought I could miss someone so much as much as I miss Josh. I twist the ring around my thumb to keep my mind off him. I need to keep focused on this interview. Nicholas approaches me with a small smile on his face.
"Hi Jennifer," He nods as he takes the seat next to me.
"Hi," I smile, continuing to twist my ring.
"How've you been?" He asks before taking a sip from his water bottle.
"Good. Just ready to get this last interview over with." I sigh.
"Same here. I'm flying back to London later."
"Oh, I'll be flying back to Berlin tonight." I smile. Small talk between us has never been hard. Most of our conversations were based on simple topics like this.
"Are you still filming for Hunger Games?" He takes a small piece of his bottom lip between his teeth.
"Yeah, after Berlin we're flying out to Paris." The thought of Josh and I in Paris together gives me goosebumps.
"Very cool," He repositions himself in his chair. "Bring me one of those little Eiffel Tower statues, yeah?" He crinkles his nose and I laugh. Just as I do, our interviewer takes her seat in front of us.
"Hi, nice to meet you two, I'm Julie." She holds her hand out to both of us.
"Hi, I'm Jennifer," I smile back and shake her hand.
"Nicholas," Nick takes her hand as well.
"Let's get this show on the road!" She smile to us. The bright lights go on and soon the camera man is telling everyone behind him to be quiet.
"Hello everyone, I'm here with some of the stars of X-Men: Days of Future Past Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult! Thanks you for joining us."
"Thanks for having us." Nick nods and I smile. The interview continues and we answer simple questions we've been asked countless of times before. Each of these interviews want to have new, original content for every question, but I feel at this point, I've heard almost all of it. I grow bored in my seat. Usually I'd be having the time of my life during interviews like this, but maybe I just don't have the right person sitting next to me for that to happen.
"So are you looking forward to the premiere?" Julie asks us.
"Very. Although, I'll be missing our premiere in London due to filming another movie in Paris." Dammit. So much for focusing on anything but the Mockingjay cast.
"Are you both really busy with your different schedules?" She asks leaning on her elbow on her arm rest.
"Well, yeah. I mean being in the acting business, you're always traveling. It's something you get used to really." Nicholas speaks first.
