I chew down three more mints to try and calm myself down before I enter the dining room again.
As I approach the table, Claudia and Josh are no longer there. Nicholas is standing with my jacket.
"Josh and Claudia left. They say 'bye.' You ready to go?" he says guiding me towards the front of the restaurant.
"Yeah, let's go," I say with a huff of air.
As soon as we step outside, cameras begin to flash. I hide my face behind my purse and rush towards the car.
"So do you want me to stay over tonight?" Nicholas asks me as we drive out of the driveway.
"I want you to, but I have filming starting up again tomorrow and I have to be there early. I don't want you to wake and not have me here," I say to him.
"That's okay. Another time," he says as he takes me hand and kiss the top of it.
We turn on my street and arrive at my apartment.
"Thanks for tonight. I had fun," I turn to Nick.
"Me too. It would have been a lot better if Josh and Claudia hadn't shown up," he pouts.
"I still had a good time," I say and kiss him lightly. "Call me tomorrow," I say as I step out of the car. I walk into my apartment complex and up the elevator.
Entering my apartment, I see a huge object sitting on my coffee table.
I flip on the lights and it's a basket filled with muffins, cakes, pies, and other treats. It's from the restaurant.
I walk over to the massive basket and pick the card from the top.
If I know anything about my Jennifer Lawrence, it's that she never leaves a restaurant without desserts. Save me some cookies!
-J. Hutch
I smile at the gesture. I can't accept this. It'd be wrong of me to do that when we're both in relationships.
My Jennifer.
My heart leaps at his choice of words. It shouldn't though. It's not fair to Nicholas, nor Claudia.
How can Josh do that to Claudia? Then again, I'm not doing much to stop anything from happening either.
I carry the basket to the kitchen. How did he even get in here?
I'm too tired to think anymore, so I slip off my dress and climb right into bed.
••••
Morning came a lot quicker than expected. I looked at my clock. 7:00.
I'm late.I scramble out of bed, throw on my bra and jeans and a T-shirt. I grab and apple and head out the door.
Last week of filming. Last week of seeing Josh everyday. My head begins to pound at the thought.
I focus hard on the road to push away the thoughts. 30 minutes later I arrive at the lot.
I quickly walk past everyone else's trailer, hoping that they won't see me coming in late.
I quietly make my way to hair and makeup.
"Where have you been?" I hear a voice from behind me.
I turn around and see Liam.
"I slept in, no big deal," I reply."Well you better hurry up then!"
"We start filming in an hour, I think I have a little time," I say. My head starts pounding again.
"Okay. Sorry, just a little excited. Last week of filming!" he smiles and walks off.
I get into hair and makeup. My hair is pulled into the famous Katniss braid, and I'm given dark pants, hiking boots, and a coat.
I walk to set and see that we're doing the scene with Katniss and Gale in the woods.
Liam is already waiting. Josh is sitting on the side talking to Sam. His back is facing toward me, so he hasn't seen me yet. I don't know if I want to talk to him. I try and move myself toward him, but quickly back out and start to run to my trailer.
Am I really too afraid to talk to Josh anymore that I'm running? I want to stop myself, but I keep going.
"Jen!" I hear Sam yell. "Where are you going?"
Now he knows I'm here.
I run to the side of my trailer and sit on the concrete floor of the studio lot.
I hear footsteps coming from behind me. My head is now pounding a million times harder than it was before. Why does Josh make me like this?
I move behind to the back of trailer, hoping no one will see me. I just want this headache to go away.
"You know I can see you,"
"What do you want," I turn to Josh.
"Did you get my basket?" he smiles.
"Yes, but I really think you should take it back."
His smile quickly falls from his face.
"Why? You love desserts," he frowns."I do, but I can't accept gifts from you," I say. "It's not right to be giving me gifts when you already have a girlfriend to give gifts to."
"Well then maybe I was just being a good friend," he says shrugging his shoulders .
"Good friends don't kiss each other in the back of restaurants while they're both on dates!" I say in return.
"Okay, okay, I get it. But you kissed me back," he smirks.
"I'm not in the mood for jokes, I have a killer headache," I say rubbing my temple on my head.
"Why? Did you over stuff yourself with cookies?" he smirks again, this time moving closer to me so he's standing next to me.
"No, I didn't eat any. I wasn't hungry," I lie.
"You're always hungry," he smiles
"No I'm not. Only on the weekends. And Monday through Friday," I joke at him.
He laughs and moves closer so he's standing in front of me. He places his hands on my hip.
"I should go," I say moving away from him.
He grabs my arms and pins me against the wall with his body. I feel paralyzed.
"We should have a movie night," Josh says staring at my lips. His face only inches from mine.
"I don't think that's a good idea," I say trying to catch his attention back to my eyes.
"Why not? I thought you had fun last time," he moves his head to my neck and starts to leave a trail of kisses.
With his hands still holding my wrists, he kisses my jawline and works his way down to my collarbone.
"Josh," I breathe. I feel a smile form on his lips.
"Is that a yes?" he breathes into my neck.
I stay silent. I feel guilty, but I don't want him to stop.
"Or do I still need to convince you?" he moves his head from my neck and smiles at me.
I begin to feel myself getting lost in his eyes.
"Convince me."
