A Rude Awakening

Johnathan's eyes were stained with red, and dark bags surrounded his eye lids. He'd missed Sebastian so much but he wasn't awake yet.

     "I don't want you to go..." he muttered. Johnathan found a chair and pulled it up next to Sebastian. He was there for a few hours before he heard someone come up behind him, and a hand rested on his shoulder. Johnathan tightened his grip on Sebastian's hand. He knew who this was.
"What are you doing here dad?" Johnathan hissed, he didn't want anything to do with his father. He especially didn't want to see him like this.
    "Your mom and I are worried 'bout you son. You have to come home. I know you're worried about your friend here but-" Johnathan cut him off.
"He's not just a friend dad." Johnathan turned around and looked at him in the eye. "I'm exactly what you feared dad. I'm gay. Sebastian isn't just my friend, he, Eden, and Thomas, are my family.  Sebastian is my boyfriend dad, and you can't take me away from him." Johnathan hissed once more. He'd gone through all of this with Sebastian, he wasn't about to leave him now.
"Johnathan, come with me. This is just a phase and we'll send you to therapy like your sister. Then you'll be over it now let's go."
   "No!" Johnathan screamed, standing up, "I'm not going with you! You have caused me enough pain already! I'm not letting you take me away from the one person who is willing to die for me! One of the very few people who care about my well being!" Johnathan sat down again and faced Sebastian. "Fuck off dad."
  "Watch who you're talking to son. I will not hesitate to drag you away myself if that's what it takes."
Johnathan didn't answer his father. He knew his dad hated it when he didn't respond. He knew this fact better than anyone else. Johnathan knew; his father would do anything to get someone to respond to him.
Johnathan braced himself, then felt the sharp pain stab into the side of his skull. Johnathan wasn't sure what his father had hit him with, but he knows he was hit.
  "Answer me you piece of shit!" His father hit him again, with whatever it was, and this time, Johnathan fell out of his chair onto the floor, he saw his father go for Sebastian. Sebastian's in danger. A sudden surge of energy came over Johnathan and he tackled his father to the ground, he saw that his father hit him in the head with the blunt end of a screwdriver.
Johnathan tried to fight his father but in the process, was stabbed in the gut by the screw end. He screeched in pain as his father screamed about how the world would've been a better place if Johnathan was dead. How no one cared about him. A nurse who heard the commotion ran in and grabbed his father and called another nurse in to care for Johnathan.
  "No...I need to stay with...I need to stay with Sebastian..." Johnathan whispered, as a nurse pulled him to his feet.

Johnathan passed out.
