We all have experienced it at least once. The way your thoughts are clouded with images of them. Sure that's love, but love isn't always the butterflies in your stomach. Love isn't just deep infatuation. Love is noticing the small things like when they laugh so hard they snort a little or when you tickle the lower part of their back their toes curl. It's all about the unimportant things you see them do. You find everything they do fascinating. You want to know all about them, good or bad. When you don't have a reason as to why you love and care about them as much as you do, that is love. Suddenly that one text from them makes your entire day. Nothing has to become sexual. Cuddling can just be cuddling and that is the best part of your day, snuggled with your partner not caring about anything else. Love isn't always happy. Not getting that good morning text or even not seeing them that day can be a little heavy on your heart, but you know when you see them it will complete you. You could be in the midst of an argument and still think they are the best thing in your life. Love isn't about being great together and terrible apart. It is like finding your other half, but you can do just fine without their presence. Your great apart, but terrific together. It's like adding that extra shot of espresso to your life. Love is about acceptance. Accepting the flaws in one another. Love to me is wanting a future together. People saying I want love like that some day, but they can't because love is never the same for anyone. Love isn't about finding the perfect partner. It all comes down to the question, are you willing to accept who they were, who they are, and who they will be?
