Prologue-Timeline

A young girl and her father walk through thick woods. Both of their senses are heightened by the adrenaline pumping through their veins. The two survivors stumble upon a prison.

(Paesyn is 13)

"Maybe there will be some weapons in there. The place looks untouched," James, the girl's father, points to the large grey building.

Paesyn nods and follows her father to the fence. James lifts the girl up and over the fence before following suit. The two observe the interior of the prison and identify a weapon room.

The two are disappointed to find that the armory is empty.

James sighs, "Bad luck. Let's go."

The two are about to exit when two tall men block their exit.

"Who are you?" The taller one demands.

James raises his hands and his daughter copies his actions while inching behind him. "We are not here for trouble. We didn't think anyone lived here."

The man aiming a crossbow sharply interjects, "He said, who are you?"

"James. This is my daughter, Paesyn. We came here to scavenge. We didn't know there was anybody here," the father reasons.

Long story short, Paesyn and her father were allowed to stay. They have since been integrated into the group and are now valued members years later.

When the Governor came, Paesyn got only one shot in on the fight before her father dragged her away. They missed the bus because they went back into the prison. After a while, the two caught up with Carol and company.

Paesyn didn't like Lizzy. Lizzy always had a strange look in her eye that repelled her. She took more interest in Lizzy's sister, Mika. Paesyn tolerated being around the younger kids to babysit until Lizzy's psychopathic personality was exposed.

Paesyn shed tears for Mika's death. She couldn't deny that she was relieved when Carol shot Lizzy. Lizzy was a danger that needed to be eliminated.

James, Paesyn, Carol, Tyrese, and Judith were reunited with the rest of the group when Carol and James attacked Terminus. Paesyn was forced to stay with Tyrese, and unfortunately that decision resulted in a scar from the left of her belly button to her hip on her right side.

The group has grown accustomed to life in Alexandria. James was a construction worker before so he was needed a lot when it came to reconstruction.

One day, James offered to go on a run for supplies. He went with another Alexandrian with the name of Jack, an obscure man.

The two left but never came back. James died and left his 16 year old daughter alone. At least she had Carl, Maggie, and Enid.

It turns out James was murdered by Saviors. The hostiles owned up to it and Paesyn was even shown pictures. She was more than furious.

Negan was revealed to be the leader of the Saviors. Paesyn witnessed the deaths of Glenn and Abraham. Negan bragged about killing James and Jack. Paesyn was enraged and almost tackled the man but was held down by Carl.

After the event, Paesyn's mental state was extremely unstable. She started showing symptoms of PTSD and her undiagnosed depression and anxiety took a hold on her. Her corrupted mind altered the way she perceived things and was convinced enough that she wasn't worth living.

She cut. A lot. She dissociated with everyone but no one reached out to comfort her. She got in a big fight with Carl and Enid. They weren't her friends anymore.

Paesyn left the town and went into a secluded clearing. She held a gun up to her head and was sobbing. She was so sure she wanted to die but she had doubts. She had hope. She stood there with her finger tapping the trigger.

A small herd of walkers stumbled towards her. She debated letting them get her instead of shooting herself. It was extremely difficult for her to not to back down from suicide. But death is what she wanted.

As a walker came too close for comfort, Paesyn, out of instinct, shot the walker.

She didn't shoot it in the brain, but her shot removed the jaw. She grabbed her machete and cut off the limbs piece by piece.

It was strange how cathartic it was for Paesyn. But that brutal ritual somehow convinced Paesyn to not kill herself.

(Paesyn is 18)

Paesyn became a stowaway and followed Sasha and Rosita to kill Negan.

"I'll be your support," Paesyn argues.

The two women finally obliged but Paesyn and Sasha were captured. Paesyn surrendered to save Sasha's life. A man attempted to rape Sasha— but failed. He didn't fail with the damaged teenager.

Paesyn was forced to come with the Saviors to Alexandria for Negan's big speech. Paesyn was forced to lie about joining the Saviors and convince her friends to join Negan. Of course no one bought that bullshit.

When the coffin opened and a walker-Sasha stumbled out, Paesyn was heartbroken. In a rage, she seized a gun and began shooting at the Saviors.

An Alexandrian called Paesyn's name and she turned to face them. She saw Rick but she was shot on her left side above her hip. She fell and clutched her wound.

Paesyn's GSW was mostly healed when she was sent to Hilltop. She told Maggie of what she did and attempted to do before she decided to kill Negan. Her mental wound was not even close to healing. Out of anguish, Paesyn cuts all of her hair off in hopes of losing what destroyed her in the first place.

She grew accustomed to life at Hilltop during her rehabilitation. Prisoners of War were acquired but they caused some tensions in the community.
