Horror - Bucky Barnes

"The monster is gone, doll", Bucky's soothing voice came from beside me. We were watching a horror movie. To say that I was scared to shit was an understatement. I sighed from underneath the blanket and popped my head out.

Once I saw that the woman on the TV was all alone and scarred, not knowing what to do I sighed in relief because the monster was the things I was the most scared about.

Bucky threw his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to his toned chest. The sweet gesture made me sight in happiness, and my body relax.

I leaned my head against Bucky's chest and continued to watch the woman searching for someone to help her when the boogie man suddenly appeared behind her, making me scream in horror as he chopped her head off with a machete, leaving the decapitated woman lifeless on the ground.

"Turn it off!", I yelled while clenching my eyes shut and burying myself in Bucky's chest. Bucky immediately turned the TV off, and wrapped his arm around me, soothing me. "Hey it's okay", he whispered while slowly rocking me back and forth.

"No it's not, I won't be able to sleep", I whimpered as the horrible images kept flashing in front of my closes eyelids. My whole body trembled as Bucky tried to calm me down.

"I'm so sorry, I thought that it wouldn't be that bad", Bucky apologized and kissed the top of my head, while I still kept trembling. " I'm gonna make myself some tea and lay in bed", I informed him, still shaken up.

Bucky gave me a sympathetic look and nodded his head, "Alright, I'll watch the end of it and join you in a few minutes", he softly spoke.

I nodded my head and stood up, giving Bucky my blanket and walking out of the lounge room. I sighed and slowly made my way to the kitchen. I heard some shuffling behind, making me snap my head.

I looked around and saw no one, making me shiver as the horrible scenes of the movie flashing a second time through my head. I whimpered and quickly walked into the kitchen, in urgent need of a calming tea.

While I waited for the kettle to warm up the water, I felt a soft breeze, making every single hair on my body stand up as I closed my eyes in fear. I reopened them and softly turned around, seeing a dark and tall figure in the doorway of the kitchen.

I screamed out loud and let the mug fall while I walked backwards until my back hit the counter top. My eyes were closed while I frantically moved my hands in front of my face.

"(Y/N)! Bucky's voice called me, as I slowly reopened my eyes and saw no dark and tall figure in the doorway. I was breathing heavily while I slowly dropped onto the floor and pulled my knees towards my chest, whimpering.

Bucky's heavy footsteps become louder and louder while he approached the kitchen, once he entered the kitchen and saw me on the floor he rushed towards me and engulfed me in his arms.

"What happened?", he asked in panic. I couldn't form any words for a few seconds, my whole body still trembling in fear. I took a few deep breaths, "There was a tall figure at the doorway", I mumbled and buried my face in crook of his neck.

Bucky sighed, "I really shouldn't have shown you the movie, but I'm here okay? I'll protect you", he finished. I nodded my head as he stood up and held his metal hand for me to take. Once our hands touched he pulled me upwards.

"Let's clean this and then head to bed doll", he proposed to which I just nodded my head and picked up the pieces of the now broken mug.

After we cleaned the mess in the kitchen, Bucky and I walked to our shared rooms. I kept looking back, in fear that the tall figure would reappear but it never did. Once we got in our room, I immediately hid myself under the covers and waited for Bucky to join me.

Once he did, he wrapped his strong arms around me and softly sand to me until I stopped shaking and whimpering. The soft tune of is voice eventually made me fall asleep
