"Okay here we go", I sighed while clutching onto Loki's hand. "I hope the rest of your family is as wonderful as your parents?", he exclaimed with smile as we walked up the front porch to the destined family reunion. "They are", I answered while ringing the doorbell.
"And I must say that you look absolutely gorgeous my queen", Loki gently spoke as he gave me another gorgeous smile. "Thank you Loki", I smiled and leaned up, giving him a quick peck on the lips. The door opened and my uncle Richard greeted us "(Y/n)! Loki! Come on in", he said happily while widening the door for us to step in.
The loud music was blasting through the whole house. "Get yourself a drink in the kitchen and join the dance party in the living room", my uncle said before he disappeared in the living room. My whole family was dancing to eighties' songs, making Loki and I laugh.
"Let's get you something to drink shall we?", Loki exclaimed and lead me the kitchen. Once we arrived there, we each took a glass of champagne from the counter top and clinked our glasses together. "To a good time", Loki said while winking at me. "To a good time" I repeated.
Loki took my hand as we walked out of the kitchen and into the living room again. I saw down on the long couch while my mother ran up to Loki and greeted him with hugs and kisses. My dad and him did their handshake and laughed together. I smiled at both of them and took a sip of my champagne glass.
The couch moved next to me, making my head turn and seeing my cousin Nina. I instantly frowned, because she always used to make fun of my weight. She always bullied me and humiliated me in front of my crushes, just for her own pleasure. I had hoped that she wouldn't be able to make it, but here she was.
"Hey (Y/N), didn't know that you would come here", Nina spoke with the fakest smile ever. I sighed, "Yeah I'm here with my boyfriend", I said while pointing at Loki who was in deep conversation with uncle Richard.
Nina's eyes widened as she glanced over at Loki. "That's your boyfriend", she asked me, not believing her eyes. I nodded proudly and hummed. She instantly had a jealous frown on her face.
"What in the hell is he doing with you fatty? Did he lost a bet?", she snapped once she saw my proud look. It was like she stabbed me in the heart with her cruel words. Tears brimmed my eyes as I stood up and made my way to the kitchen.
Loki called after me but I ignored him, wanting to be alone for a minute. Once I arrived in the kitchen I sighed deeply and sat on one of the kitchen stools. My lips trembled
at the harsh words of Nina, wanting nothing more than to go home.
"Aw did the little fat piggy got butt hurt?", Nina mocked behind me, making me roll my eyes in anger and hurt. I sighed heavily and stood up from the kitchen stool. "Please, I just want to be alone", I mumbled.
Nina laughed, "Yeah you better stick in your corner fatty. I'll go and talk to your boyfriend and ask him what in the hell he sees in you besides 90% body fat", she spat while smirking. Tears brimmed my eyes, as I felt my heart clench painfully in my heart.
"Don't you ever dare speaking to her like that again!", Loki's loud and angry voice made the both of us jump. I looked up and saw Loki standing a few feet behind her. And angry and threatening look on his face.
Nina immediately turned around and took a step back once she saw the look on his face. "If I ever hear another foul word towards my (Y/N), I'll make you regret it", Loki spoke his voice cold. "And I see a good, caring and absolutely gorgeous person, way better than you disgusting quim", he spat.
Nina literally was shaking as she couldn't form any words. "Now get the hell away from us !", Loki ordered. Nina immediately rushed out of the kitchen, making me sigh in relief. Loki walked over to me and engulfed me in his strong arms.
"I'm so sorry my love, don't you listen to her hideous words, you are magnificent, beautiful, gorgeous and I love every inch of your skin my queen", he spoke before kissing the top of my head.
I sighed, feeling so relieved that someone had put Nina in her place. "Thank you Loki, I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't spoken up for me. "You are the most welcome darling, and I love you so much", he leaned down and captured my lips in a passionate kiss.
I kissed him back with the same emotion before pulling away, "I love you too", I responded. "Come let's enjoy the party ", he said before intertwining our hands and leading me into the living room.
During the rest of the party, Loki and I had a great time. We danced and laughed with the whole family and even played board games, while Nina kept to herself in the corner of the room and kept sipping on her drinks with a bitter look on her face.
