Dear Ms Krystle

It was a pleasure meeting with you to discuss your background and interest in the assistant position in our organization. But we have chosen to pursue another candidate for this position who we feel is best qualified.

We wish you good luck in your future endeavors.

Our kindest regards.

I scoffed and threw the rejection letter on the table in front of me. I sighed heavily and ran my hands through my hair feeling so frustrated. Ever since I lost my job as an assistant six months ago, the only thing I receive when I apply for a job is rejection.

"Maybe I'm not good enough, maybe they saw my weaknesses and immediately rejected me. Maybe they think that I have lost my job because i'm stupid...", all those negative thoughts ran through my head, while thick tears ran down my cheeks.

I was sick and tired of being jobless and having to depend on Tom. He told me that he didn't mind it at all, but I was never a dependent person. I always felt bad when he took me shopping, getting me all those expensive clothes. And the media didn't help at all and portrayed me as a gold digger.

I sobbed softly into my hands, feeling so stupid and useless. I didn't hear Tom walk into the living room. "Darling", he called out to me, his face showing nothing but worry. He rushed over to me and held me in his arms as I continued to sob.

"Hush sweetheart, what's wrong?", Tom asked me after I stopped sobbing and only sniffed. I took a deep breath and took the letter of the table, handing it to him. Tom looked at my teary eyes and puffy cheeks before taking the rejection letter and reading it.

He sighed and threw the letter back onto the table and opened his arms for me again, holding me close to him. "It's the tenth letter this week", I sniffed into his chest. Tom softly kissed my head and rubbed my back.

"It's their loss darling, sooner or later you're gonna find the perfect job. Don't be discouraged my love.", he gently said to me. I shook my head and pulled away from his embrace.

"But what if they thought that I was stupid? Maybe they knew the second they looked at me that I wasn't qualified enough", I said while fresh tears made their way down my face."No, don't put yourself down like that, you're more than qualified my love, you're smart, organized, so well educated, it's their loss when they don't see all of that in you", Tom spoke sternly while wiping my tears away and looking deeply into my eyes.

"But I hate the fact that I have to depend on you Tom", I protested. "That makes me love you even more because you're so independent Krystle", Tom gently said to me. "You'll find a job Krystle it's just a matter of time, and during that time I'll enjoy pampering you because that's how my queen should be treated".

I chuckled and shook my head. "There's that gorgeous smile that I love so much", Tom gushed at me while taking my head in his hands. I smiled before he softly pressed his lips against mine.
