The story begins a few days before the destruction of Planet Vegeta, in case you were wondering.
Paragus' POV:
"Father, I want to meet Broly," A young Zetsuro says.
This weakling wants to meet his little brother. Yet, his power level doesn't even compare to Broly's, let alone mine.
"Such a pathetic excuse for a saiyan. You're a fool to think that you are worthy of such an honor." I reply, venom in my voice.
Great. Now he's running away. Who needs an emotional child anyway?
[Timeskip, directed and written by the author]
Bardock's POV:
Tora and I are walking around and, out of nowhere, I see kid run by. He was crying and by the look of it, he was the same age as Raditz.
"Tora, I'm going see what that's all about. I'll see you later." I say.
"Okay. Later, Bardock." Tora says.
I find the boy sitting at rock, sobbing.
"If you are to take me back to father, go away. I'm not going back." The boy somehow manages to say all this through his crying.
"Your father?"
"Paragus."
"Paragus?! I'm gonna beat that piece of shit!!"
"Don't worry about it. I'll get stronger and show him that I'm not just some weak saiyan that can't do a damn thing."
So, he wants to be stronger?
"Hey, kid. You said you wanna get stronger, right?" I ask.
"Yeah," He says.
"Then I'll train you."
His tears stopped and his eyes widened.
"Really?"
I nodded.
"Thank you, sir!!" He exclaimed.
"No need to thank me. And certainly don't call me 'sir'. Just call me Bardock." I responded.
[Timeskip to Planet Vegeta's destruction because I'm fucking tired and lazy]
"Zetsuro, I need you to do something for me," I say.
"Yes, Bardock?" Zetsuro replies.
"Look after Kakarot for me. Keep him safe. But don't let him know of your existence until completely necessary. Got that?"
"What do you mean?"
I chop him in the neck, knocking him out, and put him in a pod.
