Luke honestly could say that he didn't know what to think of the kid. He looked absolutely down right terrified to see Luke, Charles along with Aliana, Rex and Sten. Although that didn't exactly stop Luke from being suspicious and having many questions about this situation.

For example; why was the kid here when everyone from Camp Jupiter had already been teleported to Olympus for their own safety? And what was he doing in this particular building of all places in the camp? Also, why not leave the camp as soon as he saw that it was not only destroyed but also deserted?

Aliana eventually sighed and slightly lowered her weapon. She was suspicious for sure, but also very curious. "Who are you?" she questioned. Her voice was as cold as ice, which impressed Luke and Charles slightly before they shrugged it off as they realised that she had been Void's commander after all and of course she could be cold despite her everyday personality.

The kid swallowed hard, seemingly affected by her tone and Luke hid a smile. "My name is Liam," he said and there was a silence for a while during which everyone but the kid- Liam - raised an eyebrow. The kid shifted. "It's just Liam, my... my surname brings back horrible memories so... well I don't use it."

Charles nodded slowly and he started to also lower his sword. "What are you doing here right now, kid?" he asked him.

The boy— Liam, took a shaky breath. "I came back to camp after visiting my mother, she wasn't doing so well. When I got here, well, everything was like this," he told them.

Luke frowned slightly at that. Something seemed off about the kid. He had dull blue eyes that flashed in panic every second or so. The son of Hermes knew something was off, but the kid looked genuinely confused and terrified about all this.

Aliana nodded. "It's okay," she said when she saw the kid was starting to panic. "Everyone that was here is safe now somewhere else."

Liam looked at her. "Where?" he asked slowly, something like panic flashing in his eyes again.

Rex cleared his throat. "Out of the state," he said, keeping the location hidden. "They're staying in the countryside for now."

Luke nodded mentally at the lie. They couldn't just tell the kid that everyone was on Olympus, that would have been stupid.

Liam sighed in relief. "Thank the gods," he muttered more to himself than them.

"Why are you in this building?" Sten suddenly asked. "Why not go back to your mothers seeing the state of camp?"

Liam bit his lip. "I came here about two hours ago, since it took a long time for me to get here," he said. "When I walked in, some of those... those big creatures noticed me."

"You mean the Titans?" Charles asked, frowning. "That was two hours ago?"

Liam nodded at that and Charles and Luke shared a look. Why hadn't Reyna told them earlier that camp was attacked?

Had the sensors somehow only picked up on the invasion this late?

"Anyway," Liam said, "I tried leaving camp again, but they blocked my way so I had no other choice but to hide inside the camp."

Rex looked at the kid. His face still blank as ever. "I don't know a lot about those Titans, but wouldn't they be able to smell or sense you?"
